  1. What a colorful Hunter, brought to life by your impeccable paint job.
  2. This is a potential winner for your next model show. Top job, Sir.
  3. What a mean-looking aircraft! Great choice of markings, superb paint job. Like it very much!
  4. Dear fellow Britmodellers, this is my 1/72 BR-2 152mm Soviet Artillery Gun from ukrainian manufacturer ACE. Photos by Wolfgang Rabel. The kit contains both plastic and etched parts providing a high level of detail straight from the box. I found it very difficult to assemble because of poor instructions and lack of reference material. It took me over a year to complete, which is way above my usual work time, and was about to end up in the trash bin several times. Given the rather high price tag I forced myself to finish this kit. Thanks for your interest. The matching tow tractor will follow!
  5. Pretty unusual scheme for a F-16, most I've seen come in shades of grey. This is a nice change to the usual routine, especially because the top colors continue on the underside. Well done Mike! Best greetings, Roman
  6. What an interesting subject, great conversion from the original kit, and unique choice of markings! I have only one objection: the area around Thakhek is completely flat, so the palm-lined hills on the first three pictures are a little bit out of place!
  7. Geoff, the main problem is that all the struts and undercarriage are butt-joined, lacking positioning slots, which results in weak stability. However, theres two humps on the lower wings, and shallow guide lines along the fuselage, to give you an idea where the struts should be positioned. The design of the landing gear construction is the biggest challenge, beacuse the fit is poor. The angles of the strut ends do not match. Several attempts were required to get a symmetrical geometry (or, at least, the best I could). I don't recall that any of the parts were either too short, or too long, they were not modified. The front clear part needs adjustments to make it fit, because it does not conform with the shape of the fusealge very well. And yes, the AZ Models kit is a re-box of the Legato kit (the Legato brand was acquired by the AZ Model imperium several years ago). I wish you good luck and success for your build!
  8. Brilliant. Can't wait to see this kit released in 72 scale.
  9. Finally a new tooling of this interesting aircraft in 1/72. Much looking forward to this release! I've tried myself on the Amodel/SovaM kit twice, both attempts ended up in the bin - even though I consider myself an 'experienced modeler' I just couldn't make things fit. I hope IBG will present a clever solution for the antenna mast which goes through the clear part (no provision for this on the Amodel/SovaM kit).
  10. Modelling masterclass, great choice of subjects - difficult to pick a favorite! The Eduard Messerschmitt Bf109K-4 is exceptionally good, I can't wait for Eduard's 1/72 release of this kit.
  11. Having a fondness for WWII aircraft, I would pick the B-25J, P-39 and Ki-62 (yes, it's shiny enough!) as my favorites. You can be proud of your achievement, Sir!

  13. Colorful like a parrot, although quite chubby. Significantly less elegant than the Ki-61, especially when you look at the two side by side!
  14. Hello Mike, you're firing out the kits during the holiday season! At first look I thought the green spots are painted on, and wondered about your masking technique, until I realized they are decals. I didn't think you could achieve such a great result with them - wonderfully done. Best greetings!
  15. Your brilliant paintwork and great detailling/rivetting brings the Hasegawa kit to a total new level. Masterpiece!
  16. You did a good job on this kit and the markings, in my opinion the Airacobra looks best with Red Stars! Sorry to hear it was a "complicated" build.
  17. Beautiful build of a rather ugly aircraft (to my eyes, at least - reminds me of a humpback)
  18. You should try Starfix P-51D Mustang next, I believe it's even worse!
  19. Same with me, must have built dozens of 109s over the years, only the very best ones remain in the display cabinet (due to limited space), the others rest in boxes in the basement.
  20. Another extraordinary 109 with a well exectued "dotted" mottle scheme. You must have an amazing collection by now.
  21. I did not know what the PZL W-3A Sokół (Falcon) in medical air rescue paint looks like. Thankfully Answer provides the answer! I like your colorful build, and even with all the little problems you mention, the finished kit should stand out at the next modelling contest show! Congratulations, Sir.
  22. A beautiful build of an elegant and classic jet aircraft with attractive markings and subtle "shades of grey". As with most Academy kits, the panel lines are a bit heavy (only visible in the close-ups though). Good work, Mike!
