  6. Hello Folks this is my build of a Indian Army, Sherman from the 65 Indo-Pak war, Its a dragon kit. The individual link track drove me nuts to the point I shelved the build for a few years , finally the lockdown was the inspiration to finish what I had started. Built mostly OOB, I just added spare jerry cans and Canvas (made from epoxy putty) . Decals used are from Star decal, 'Bharat' was self made. Hope you folks like it Cheers

  8. Bronco Akula II Class Attack Submarine K335 Giepard, Scale:1:350. (Converted to K-152 Nerpa) INS Chakra, simple kit, no fit issues I had to scratch build the "bulb" located on top of the Akula's rudder, its towed sonar array. when I was almost done the decals disintegrated. I wrote to Bronco and they agreed to send me a replacement, I had to pay for postage. the INS Chakra is self made decal. I used humbrol enamel paints and humbrol matt varnish to finish it off after some washes with white oil paints.
  9. Mig-21 is the mainstay of the Indian Air Force and for a while now, slowly being replaced by more modern jets. But it will always hold a special place in the hearts and minds of most airmen in the Indian Air Force and the nation at large. This Academy kit is boxed as a MF but is a BIS actually. The build went easy as the kit did not have any fit issues. The cockpit was not that detailed but I did a little bit of scratch to make it look busy. And a spare Eduard Bis kit ejection seat was added to the model. I decided to go with the scheme of Tactics and Air Combat Development Establishment or TACDE. It is an Indian Air Force unit for training aerial combat to its top one percent fighter pilots. The institution evolves tactical procedures for various aircraft, implements standard operating procedures and trains pilots in operational doctrines. I had only a faded black and white picture as a reference. It would be fair to say the red shade was a bit of a guess. But I am sure it was red and white combination. The colors used to paint the model are mix and match, Life color paints were used, And the TACDE logo and serial numbers are self made decals. And roundels and fin flash are Bright spark decals. This build is part of a group build of 'Indian Scale modellers' group on facebook.
  10. Revell, (MiG-21PF), built here is the FL 1:48 . This is a very old kit with raised panel lines, which I sanded down and scribed. Roundel and fin flash decals are from the kit, but the Sqn. Logo, 52 and serial numbers are self made decals. The shark mouth is hand painted. Also used hair spray technique for fading and chipping. Paints used are AK Extreme Metal. The FL was manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited till the end of 1973, this model depicts a aircraft from The Sharks, No 52 Squadron, Indian Air Force. The Sharks were used in MiG Operational Fighter Training. They were deactivated in June 2005.
  11. Hi Is it a rebox of their old kit , I have built that too. that is a very old kit and it shows in the details. can u share a pic of the box and sprue.
  12. I have depicted a AMX-13 of the Indian Army from Battle of Khem Karan, Punjab during the 1965 Indo-Pak War, The kit is Tamiya 1:35 and decals are from Star Decals , Indo-Pakistani War 1965 AMX13 & M4 . Other than the decals built OOB
  13. Doc72 This Azur kit is one of the better kits available for a Mystère IVA, but discussions with the experts on our group revealed there was some room for improvements and some details not being there on the kit and some specific to the Indian Air Force Mystere. The absence of the NACA vents was one of them that took a bit of work. and the resin seat which came with the kit was discarded and had to scratch build the SNCASO seat. Also the intake and the light took a lot of effort as parts of it had to be scratch built, puttied and sanded carefully. The Kit decals also were found inaccurate as far as the colors went, so I had to hand paint over then and the red on the cheat line was masked and spray painted
  14. Yes its OOB, paints were mix and matches lifecolor Acrylic. and kit decals.
