  1. Oh, thanks, must have missed that 🙂 Will take a look.
  2. Holy poo-poo! I'm normally not into civillian aircraft, but this is damn darn great! Incredible modelling skills. Where will you get the wheels from?
  3. Well, I've never used the Microscale product, but a probably simmilar solution called gilder's milk (or "Anlegemilch" in German) normally used to apply leaf metal. When I put it on the plastic part instead of the foil, it adhears very well. In fact so well, that I can mask the foil with Tamiya tape for painting glare panels etc. What I found out works even better than this is an oil mixture used by professional gilders. There are different mixtures available that differ in the time they take to become sticky after being applied. The one I use takes about half an hour, but stays tacky for at least five hours. It has the added benefit that it being a nonpolar agent, it distributes well and evenly over the plastic. On the other hand it takes it's time to fully cure, much like oil paint. But when it finally is cured, it's rock solid.
  4. When I foil an airplane (I use kitchen foil with artist's gold leaf adhesive), I always seal everything in by brush-painting Future. I'm under the impression that it actually adds to the luster of the foil. Without a top coat, there's always the danger of the decals peeling away after a few years. Has happened to me in the past... Your model is very well done. Need to try out the Kits World decals myself. Thanks for the tip.
  5. Are there any pictures of the completed kit?
  6. Hi there, unfortunately there are a lot of threads where the pictures are no longer showing. Thus, could everybody please repost their missing pics, please. A build log without pictures is completely useless... Thank you Andy
  7. Hi there, unfortunately, the way you rigged your guns is wrong. Since you're building a French ship, the breeching rope needs to go through the carriage, not round the casabel of the cannon. Otherwise, it's a very fine model you're building!
  8. Wow, that was fast! Thank you, lads. That link helped. But I can't see which decal goes where (except the big ones obviously... ), so I think I gladly take your offer, Pigsty. If you could just scan those two Painting and Marking pages, that would be great. And thank you guys for your kindness! Best wishes, Andy
  9. hi there, I just realised that I've lost the instructions for my Revell Kit of the Hs 129B tank buster . Revell's department x says, they don't have any more left, so I'm asking here If someone has that kit (or the Hasegawa packaging of it) and could scan the instructions for me and post it here or send me an email (please PM me for the adress). I'd appreciate it very much! Thank you. All the best, Andy
  10. Ah, seeing the AirDOC decals, it's going to be a Norm 72 Bird, right? Looking forward to this
  11. Thanks. I guess you're probably right, those colours are at least very similar.
  12. Hello. Since I've got the experts all in one place in this GB , I thought I'd ask about the actual colour of Germany's F-4F (and RF-4E). Does anybody know if it is the same colour the Americans used on their F-4s (FS 36231)? That would have posed some problems with refurbishing the aircraft, though, as FS colours weren't used until the 'Norm 81' emerged. So might it thus be a RAL colour? Regards, Andy
  13. Thanks, pal. That helps
  14. Marvellous Pictures! What's the actual colour used in the cockpit? Is it BS 381c 638 Dark Sea Grey? And does anybody know the colour used in German Tornado cockpits?
