  1. There are some outstanding F3 photos posted here with some very interesting subjects. BUT and im sorry for this, you will have to register (free) a bonus though is that there are tons of references etc of other stuff. Anyhow here you go. http://fightercontrol.forumotion.com/nosta...fb1737131ec2fa8 OOH Checking the link, You DONT have to register! yay
  2. Seeing the overall shots, thats a nice kit! Pukin Dogs cad bird methinks! That and a 3 sqdn Typhoon! Bring em on!
  3. Another Huge Tomcat eh! I for one didnt even know they were producing an F14. looks very nice with the exception of all the rivets (again). When is the Prowler arriving eh, EH?! Nice GIF btw!
  4. This is not a plug..... but for anyone interested there are several Revell 1/32 kits on ebay at the moment including a GR1, unless, that is, you are already involved in a bidding frenzy! Thought I would let you all know.
  5. Thanks all, Just hope I can chime in with my Op Telic Tornado in the group build! Think Ill be using the preshade technique as it seems to work well with light grey aircraft. Besides I like a dirty bird (ooh err).
  6. Included these in reply to F3 pictures over on the modern aircraft thread and to assist all those F3 builders hopefully. First pic is in response to a question around fuelling probes The rest are just beacuse I can. Hope they are useful
  7. Following hot on the heels of this is another VF 84 bird built for my Jolly Rogers fan m8 who had this Tamiya F14 sat in his cupboard for quite a number of years. Not quite finished yet. I have to add the seats and put the odd one or two touches to it, This is my first foray into pre shading. Dunno If Ive over done it? Anyhow Tamiya ! 32 Original release F14 (1984) and Cam Pro VF 84 decals, and one of the last Black Box Resin cockpit sets Enjoy
  8. PM Windy. Rumour has it he Might have some going spare!
  9. Ive got some phots of a couple of F3's that were on QRA at Conningsby last january.. Not a refuelling probe in sight! Both had the larger Hindenburger tanks fitted. I will stick em in the F3 phots section of the group build if anyone wants!
  10. One other "issue" is that I cant really get stuck into mine until the new year..... work and S@*t
  11. Mate you won,t be stepping on my toes at all. I am using the flightpath set including the seats with all the etched stuff which i confess i have already started! The instructions as you say take a bit of understanding but once you have a picture in your head as to how it goes, it all falls together. (ish) Having compared your tigermeet and my effort, I sir, will be prostrating myself.
  12. Yes ZA 371 and ZA 401 were painted in a winter scheme as below for excersise strong resolve 1995 http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Pa...next_id=1135993 One of those in the GB would be nice methinks! go for it sir!
  13. Spike, I have virtually the same project without the TIALD and ALARM's, and grabbed some of the fantasy print shop decals. They really are outstanding works of art! . ZG 714 for me! Phatness, ill race ya! (joking!)
  14. Here's mine a 1/32 GR4A ZG 714 Op Telic...... Yes Its grey!
  15. Cheers for that guidance M8, very useful. I did find, somewhere out there, an extremely brief review of the Revell kit http://www.gustafsen.nu/English/US-jet.htm. hence the question as to wether the Revell offering was different As far as mods go I was looking at detailing the bomb bay a little as it appears that the 1:1 has a central spar dividing the bomb bay into effectively two seperate smaller bays. Also I was opting more for an anthracite grey as opposed to pure black in an effort to induce a little bleaching etc.
  16. Am I right in saying that the moulds forthis have passed from Revell to italieri then to Testors or are they different. Looking at the contents it doesnt seem to be an awe inspiring build, just to say that I think it is something completely different. There is soo little in the way of kit reviews / build threads to go on and without accurate plans im not sure as to exactly what corrections to make in order for this to be "acceptable". anyhow the kit dates from 1990 and I suppose suffers from an elemnt of antiqueness in the representation.
  17. OMG ! shoot me! shoot me now! Pictures, the pretty pictures!! Ah well at least ive got the GR4 to do beforehand!
  18. Ok Ok Ive gone and done something REALLY Stoopid! Iv'e just weakened and bought a 1/32 Revell F117 Nighthawk 1990 vintage! Reasons I thought that because 08 is the F117's last year of flight I must build sommat that pays a small tribute to it BUT looking at the kit coontents its not exactly going to be taxing but hey ho its something different I suppose!
  19. Guys and gals, take a look at these beauts here! Trumpy releases use the next previous buttons for a pant wetting preview. Despite modern stuff being my "bag" i really like the look of that swordfish! methinks the pocket will suffer! Link originally found over on ARC
  20. Well its a 1/32 Op Telic bird for me ZG 714, Truffle Snufflers. Paragon Flaps and flightpath set. Not having done one of these before Im looking forward to it. As a matter of interest, i took loads of Phots at Fairford Last Thursday and as a result i have quite a few shots of the GR4's including a couple of a 617 GR4a with its probe and air brakes deployed as it passed me. Ill post in the sticky if anyones interested.
