Trumpeter 1/32 Flanker B
Phartycr0c replied to NickParker's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Wonderful stuff, That is a lovely Flanker! I can highly recommend this kit if anyone gets the chance. Al is quite right, the Trumpeter Kit builds into a lovely Flanker oob (IMHO) which is just as well cos Iv'e got another one of these to do and cant afford the extras at the moment! Beautiful -

Chinook HC2 ish Trumpeter 1/35
Phartycr0c replied to Phartycr0c's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
A little progress on the cabin area and introducing Bert and Ernie the Crew. After much deliberation I decided to bring the bird "alive" with a couple of figures. The cockpit area and rear bulkhead are slowly taking shape. Floor has been base coated and belts need to go onto Bert and Ernie after I have positioned their arms on the controls. Slow but sure. Those blokes took longer than I thought. Main cabin and seating next. BTW Jabba, That badge is superb. Ill try and search one out. -

F-16E Block 60 - Mike builds a modern Jet
Phartycr0c replied to Mike's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Yep, very nice indeed. Very different to the "usual" F16 shape. Lovely. -
Right ho folks, here we go with this "commission" build of Trumpeters rather large CH 47D which I will attempt to make look like an RAF HC2. The sacrilage will be enhanced by the fact that it will be the first Hook over the Iraqi border during Telic 2003 that most famous of Chinooks, BN. The Aircraft will be built OOB with some rather nice PE from Eduard. In addition I will attempt a little scratch building here and there. She will be gunned up and may have a crew, havn't decided yet. I will say now that this will not be a pin sharp HC2 replica as my skills are not up to it, but I will attempt a loose visual representation. On with the show. Ths is one large steaming pile of plastic, just gagging for the knife and glue to come out. Thats a standard AA battery for a size comparison... Gulp. Got this to Jazz the base up a little.

Thanks Chris, watch this space, Iv'e just taken it out the box to make a start!
-
Now that is what one would call hot off the press! well done.

Relevant guns now sourced , thanks very much for the responses. I like the idea of the spring for the cartridge chute, Will definitely be adopting that one. Now I just need to sort some IR detectors and chaff and flare dispensers!!!! Thanks again all.

That really is an outstanding looking bird. Perfection. well done.

Trumpeter 1/32 Swordfish.
Phartycr0c replied to Phartycr0c's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Hi, Wings extended are 44cms (17 inches) wide. Taking into account though, that this model can be built with the wings folded then the overall width is around 6 inches and 13 inches long. If you can find space, fit one in, also bear in mind that there is apparently a float version coming soon. -
Thanks all for your responses. It certainly looks like my HC2 will be "gunned up" now. TBh I was struggling sourcing an armament. would a WIP be of interest?

Purhcased as a pressie / challenge by my good mate Rich T, in an attempt to "draw" me towards the world of Props, a MK 1 Trumpy Swordfish, built OTB with a few enhancements courtesy of Eduard interior and exterior sets and a Resin Bristol Pegasus engine and a little hidden shimming. The kit engine BTW is a beaut in its own right. I really enjoyed the build and attempted something different in using the transparent half of the fusealge and masking it off for the duration of spraying in an effort to provide a window into that lovely cockpit area. Good thought but like an idiot I managed to get a little overspray onto the area which had to be cleaned off. Should have Kleered the whole thing first. HOWEVER the rest of the kit went together like dream. with the exception of the rigging which, whilst caled out nice and clearly in the instructions, actually went together hit and miss, mainly due to a couple of oversize PE parts, which by the way are manufactured from the finest Chinese granite. Hopefully I have done this lovely kit justice. On with the show, excusing the photography.

AH m8 That would be fantastic. Let me know what you want for them via Pm.

agreed, very pretty and well executed! -
Hot on the heels of Josef's Huey, comes my other 13 yr old twin Marcus's Revell Typhoon. Again self built with just a little direction as to techniques this is the result. The Colour is from a Halfords ford Polar grey spray can. TBH I used this as a little experiment because I have a 32 scale offering to build and I wanted to check the colour. I think its about right. The base by the way is one third of a Focus DIY shelf pack sprayed black, covered with emery paper and sprayed grey. besides a couple of small areas that could do with a little attention to my eye, Marcus really has nailed this and I am ETREMELY proud to present it to you all. BTW he doesn't know I have done this yet
