As pointed out above, the Tamiya kit is a MkII so is unsuitable without a MkI conversion kit. ref: Universal Carrier Mk.I/II Military Vehicle Workshop Series MV-12. Allied Command Publications
What about one of these Johnnyboy: here
G,day Roy
A common problem with vinyl.
You may want to try applying some heat from a hair dryer and straightening them, unfortunately though, they are likely to shrivel.
Sadly I know of no replacement tracks for the Chafee, only some for Shermans from MR Model and that is 1/72nd. It would be too wide I think.
Yay!
Been looking forward to the Demon.
I would love to see the Gauntlet, Grebe and Gamecock back and done using injection moulding. The Gauntlet and Grebe are really hard to find second hand, though I'm chuffed with a vac Gamecock picked up recently.
Just me xmas wish listing John!
Heya Stig
Have to say that is a darn good effort after 15 years mate. I hope my effort with this kit is as good. As you have done the Spit maybe I should do my Tamiya 109E3 as a WiP.
Yea, those decals in the spit kit did not impress me much when I saw the white blanks. C'mon Tamiya, what are you doing? I managed to buy as set of the Southern Expo Hornchurch -v- Luftwaffe decals from Freightdog Models to use on mine.

Hi
I sold some Merlin kits a few years ago on Ebay, Airco DH5, DH9 and 1/2 strutter, they never fetched anywhere near those prices. But then again they just don't deserve to .
