  1. Thanks for the info Homebe. I notice that Fromm's web page does not have an option to order their models online. When this beautiful project of Dassault Super Mystère SMB.2 at 1/48 will be available, where will it be possible to order this kit ? Through Special Hobby ? If not, can you tell me some online model shops in France or elsewhere in Europe where t will be possible to possibly order this kit ? Thanks for any info on this. SharkOwl
  2. It seems that the Kinetic option for a Tutor Kit in 1/48 is also a very strong possibility. To follow with great interest. SharkOwl
  3. Complement of information regarding my message here : Modelsvit just inform me on their facebook page that : quote : thank you for your remark regarding roundels. Be advised that we have just corrected the decals and they shall be printed with one-size roundels. unquote. Professional approach. Thanks to Modelsvit. SharkOwl
  4. I invite you to take a look at the following 1/72 decal sheets from FFSMC Productions : Egypt, India, Taiwan, Qatar : https://ffsmc-productions.com/product/foreign-dassault-mirage-2000/ United Arab Emirates : https://ffsmc-productions.com/product/emirates-dassault-mirage-2000/ For the Greek and Peruvian Mirage 2000 take a look here from Syh@art decals : Greece : http://syhartdecal.fr/references.php?lang=FR&ref=Syhart 106&page=description Peru : http://syhartdecal.fr/references.php?lang=FR&ref=Syhart 107&page=description All are high quality decals sheets ! 5. Just like their previous Mirage 2000C offer, these color profiles seems to confirm again that Modelsvit is wrongly presenting the fuselage roundels too small ! All six roundels for the Armée de l'Air Mirage 2000 family (left and right fuselage + upper and lower wings) must be the same size as correctly presented in many aftermarket decal sheets on both 1/72 and 1/48 scale and a little bit bigger that presented on these color profiles. This being said, the Modelsvit Mirage 2000C is superb ! But need an aftermarket decal sheet for a precise présentation of the subject. SharkOwl
  6. Update on this most interesting 1/48 scale project. It could be available this year before christmas. Finger crossed. Reference here in french language : http://www.frrom.com/index.php?page=Accueil Translation : ''The 1/48th Super Mystere SMB2 is progressing, the molds are in Prague and will be adapted. We are aiming for a release before Christmas''. SharkOwl
  7. No news for now. However, here are some things to think about : The arrival on the market of a brand new F-35A from Tamiya at 1/48 scale will certainly lead Kinetic to remove this subject from its list of future projects. The massive sales to be expected of the new family of F-16 Kinetic at 1/48 will certainly allow them to finance their future projects. Personally I believe that one projec is currently prioritized at Kinetic beyond their new 1/48 F-16 family : A complete family of 1/48 Mirage F-1 ; SharkOwl
  8. Take a look here at the sprues of the Tamiya F-35A with 8 photos proposed by Vini Pompeo Modeller in its Instagram page. Very Cool ! SharkOwl https://www.instagram.com/p/CjOAbhjOZDA/
  9. Lockheed Martin official page for Canada on their website is presented with this photo. Drag chute and lateral air refueling probe like the ones on F-35B and F-35C are Canadian specifications for the CF-35A fleet from the start of the procurement program. And it is written on many aviation articles about it. SharkOwl
  10. And from a Swiss aviation journalist, the future fleet of 36 x F-35A of the Swiss Air Force will also be equipped with the drag chute. So, drag chute equipped F-35A will eventually include those of Norway, Canada, Finland and Switzerland. I also read somewhere that the current KLU F-35A fleet of Netherlands could also be retrofited with the drag chute that is, by the way, produced by Fokker of Netherlands for Lockeed Martin. SharkOwl
  11. A very interesting good news from Tamiya ! This new kit will also include this option : Quote : ''Also, drag chute fairing component is-included only for the Royal Norwegian Air Force''. Unquote. For your information, the drag chute fairing will also equip the future fleet of 88 x CF-35A of the Royal Canadian Air Force !!! SharkOwl
  12. I confirm to you that this new 1/48 Tutor project is not from David Winter. SharkOwl
  13. For your information. This 1/48 scale Canadair CT-114 Tutor project is not from a big name manufacturer that you gave access to a Tutor in the 2005/2006 timeframe. SharkOwl
  14. Share with us all here a detailed description of these shape issues. Thanks in advance. SharkOwl
  15. A new tooled 1/48 scale Canadair CT-114 Tutor !!! For your information. A renowned Canadian model maker who wishes to remain anonymous for the moment have recently started a project for a new tool 1/48 scale kit of the Canadair CT-114 Tutor. The project is currently on its first steps and we are here far from being able to set a possible date of availability. This future kit will most probably be a mixed media type with injected plastic parts, 3D printed resin parts and photoetch. The markings will be produced by an internationally renowned decal printer. For the moment, this canadian model maker has allowed me to share with you some 3D / CAD images of his project. A project to follow with great interest. SharkOwl from Quebec.
  16. Adding the Portuguese version to the initial F-16A MLU Nato Viper offer is a smart move from Kinetic. This new Kinetic Gold family of F-16 will certainly be best sellers, that will enable them to finance other future projects on the pipeline like the Fiat G-91 Gina and a Mirage F-1 family of kits. Well done Kinetic ! SharkOwl from Québec.
  17. Interesting subject for Canadian modellers ! Personally I will wait for a 1/48 scale Leonardo M-345 HET. I bet that after their superb Leonardo M-346 Kinetic is already making plans for it. About the M-345 ‘’Tutor II’’ in Canada. The replacement of the Moose Jaw NFTC fleet of CT-156 Havard II and CT-155 Hawk plus the Snowbirds CT-114 Tutor is already underway. It is called ‘’Future Aircrew Training (FAcT)’’. FAcT will encompass NATO Flying and Training in Canada (NFTC), currently provided by CAE in a contract that expires in 2023 ; The most likely successor is the brand new Italian single jet engine Trainer Leonardo M-345 HET promoted in Canada as the ‘’Tutor II’’. At the start of this program, Babcock and Leonardo Canada were competing each against the other for the FAcT program but they have now joined efforts around a unique M-345 HET offer. The M-345 HET fleet will be privately owned and maintained but manned by the RCAF in a ‘’rental purchase’’ business model similar to the one currently used for the French Armée de l’Air Pilatus PC-21 fleet of 17 + 9. The M-345 HET will be used for Phase II and Phase III of the training syllabus actually offered by the Turboprop CT-156 Harvard II leading to the ‘’pipeline’’ selection of the pilots as ‘’Transport’’, ‘’Helicopter’’ or ‘’Fighter’’. The Leonardo M-345 HET is also offered at the same time as the replacement of the Snowbirds RCAF Demonstration Team Canadair CT-114 Tutor from 2030. For the Phase IV of the syllabus for the pilots selected as ‘’Fighter’’, Leonardo offers to Canada the twin jet engine M-346 FT (Fighter Trainer) but the Canadian ministry of defense will most likely decide a ‘’no replacement option’’ of the CT-155 Hawk fleet, sending then the selected future fighter officers to the Euro Nato Joint Jet Training Program at Sheppard, Texas for Phase IV training on the future Boeing Saab T-7A Red Hawk and then to be converted for the future fleet of 88 x CF-35A Lightning II on a few airframes that will be most likely based at Luke AFB ‘’F-35 International Academy’’. 18. Thanks Homebe ! Interesting. But on the plastic sprue shots, I am searching for parts that will enable to present this new tool F-35B ''all closed'' in CTOL (Conventional Take Off & Landing) mode ?!? Please share photos of the instruction sheet pages as soon as available. SharkOwl
  19. According to the analysis (with photos of the sprues) from the American Michael Benolkin of Cybermodeler Online, it seems that the ''new'' Rafale offered by Academy is indeed a reboxing of the Rafale C/M mold from Revell Germany.
