Just won a 1/72 B-24H, hard to find! More importantly, it will enable me to build one of the 734th BS's Liberators in which my great-uncle flew and present it to his children. I won't be correcting the kit's many shape errors, but man am I gonna have a rough time with the markings.

22 days since my big Hobbyterra order was processed through a shipping facility in Ukraine, and no sign of it here yet...getting antsy.

Coming down with something YET AGAIN. Being a parent is great.

At this point, I don't even think 2016 deserves a Spitfire build from me. I'll build them in 2017, as top cover for all the good things that are gonna need to break on through.

Aristocrats: "I Think I Am Becoming A God"
By Captain Keith Douglas (24 January 1920 – D+3 1944), Nottinghamshire (Sherwood Rangers) Yeomanry
The noble horse with courage in his eye,
clean in the bone, looks up at a shellburst:
away fly the images of the shires
but he puts the pipe back in his mouth.
Peter was unfortunately killed by an 88;
it took his leg away, he died in the ambulance.
I saw him crawling on the sand, he said
It's most unfair, they've shot my foot off.How can I live among this gentle
obsolescent breed of heroes, and not weep?
Unicorns, almost,
for they are fading into two legends
in which their stupidity and chivalry
are celebrated. Each, fool and hero, will be an immortal.
These plains were their cricket pitch
and in the mountains the tremendous drop fences
brought down some of the runners. Here then
under the stones and earth they dispose themselves,
I think with their famous unconcern.
It is not gunfire I hear, but a hunting horn. -

2016, do what you want to me, but leave the girl out of this.

I should be elated at how cheap the weak pound has made Hannants orders, but instead I just feel sick to my stomach.

It's a good point PC.
Other post Brexit issues include pensions; my UK based monthly pension has decreased in real value by around 25% this year (£ to AUD$).
This will be happening to all those that had their working career in the U.K., and for whatever reason find themselves currently living overseas.
I still buy British whenever possible to try to help the economy, but feel it may be a feeble gesture

Getting to the point where I think about next builds. Polish MiG-29? Su-9? Su-24? Harrier GR3? One of three hundred other kits on hand? Maybe some sort of psychiatric therapy? Infinite possibilities.

For some reason, I can't post.

It'd be inaccurate to say I'm struggling with depression at the moment, since that implies effective resistance.

As a fellow sufferer of said ailments, I can vouche for the need for sleep. Get it when you can and try to grab as many winks when Winston gives you a chance. I am full time daddy daycare at the moment and I am more tired than ever. But now is the time to throw off the past and realize that the stress or depression you feel is actually yesterday's world and your future is already brighter even if it doesn't seem to be manifesting the way you think it ought to. The very best thing you can do, which I have learned is to let life happen. I really enjoy reading your posts and like to think we all share a virtual friendship.

Mr P, I must say I can in some way understand how you may be feeling right now. I have been through some rather dark patches while trying to juggle work, wife, kids, moving, money and so on. I can only mirror the fact that no matter how low it got things did get better in the end.... It's worth it.
as you can see above people are there for a chat and support if you need.... Or you can build a quick spitfire in the MTO GB!

Currently sick with my annual September cold, courtesy of the biological warfare lab my wife teaches 3 through 6 year year old children. Powering through the way an F-4 Phantom glides.

I hate this forum update with the fire of a thousand suns.

It's annoyingly difficult to find decals for Cold War-era RAAF types.

Has anyone read Robert Jackson's aviation novels? Trying to decide whether they're suitable potboilers to leave about the house for a young boy to "discover" someday.

You guys really have a wonderful country, you know that? Anyone says different, you have my permission to go at 'em, eyes screwed shut, arms windmilling.

Would anyone going to Telford like to grab an MB5 for me?

Henry VIII, I understand now.

So let me get this straight, the less free time I have, the more people want to monopolize it? If adulthood were a system of government, it would've been violently overthrown long ago.
