  1. Why am I only just finding out about The Sandbaggers.

  2. Why every strut on a biplane kit has to be a separate part, I'll never $^#^ing know.

      jenko

Because biplanes like to strut their stuff.

Even if they aren't, it isn't any easier :(

Yes another one of your build odysseys please. Any thoughts as to the subject matter?

Well, I have this Beaufighter kit...

Brad - Pizza is the perfect food and can be eaten for any meal. However, I'm trying to lose weight, which leaves me in a bit of a pickle.

Oh yes I would like to see that. Beer, pizza and a Beaufighter...I can't wait for the Airfix release.

Five?! You do know what causes it, right? Buy a TV.

  5. Winston Thomas is eight pounds and two ounces, and looks like a garden gnome.

Late as usual Hullo Winston T, congratulations Mel and PC!

  6. Working on an F-J(UK) and an FG.1. Worried these modeldecal decals may not be up to the job...

  7. Would anyone going to Telford like to grab an MB5 for me?

I thought it was resin but I can have a look later....

    3. Darby

      Darby

Not surprising really. It was the most beautiful single seater in the ETO.

    4. Procopius

      Procopius

That's crazy talk, Darbs. Not only is the Fw 190 as ugly as a dog's butthole, but the Fw 190D in particular looks like it was built out of spare car parts.

  9. Wow, there's not a lot out there for 1/72 Mosquito decals

Almost nothing for B(IV), a little more for fighter variants I have found

    2. Procopius

      Procopius

Yes, very frustrating, as I'm trying to find some for a B.IV. I suppose the expense/scarcity of the Tamiya kit is the reason.

I've just been delivered xtradecals XO39-72 with markings for an FB VI: HR241 TH*M if you'd like them. I plan on using the kit versions for my trio.

  10. Wrestling with AZ's Spitfire 21, probably the best in scale aside from its overly thick wings.

LOL! Ain't seen it at all yet, but now it's definitely on the list.

  12. You guys really have a wonderful country, you know that? Anyone says different, you have my permission to go at 'em, eyes screwed shut, arms windmilling.

      Sgt.Squarehead

      Yes, yes we do!

A sneaky hook or uppercut delivered behind a sharp jab is a rather more effective technique though.

I drove from Lincolnshire back home to NE Scotland yesterday and have to say that I found myself commenting on all the beautiful countryside that I was driving through.

  13. You really do have the most beautiful flag, you know.

Probably my second-favourite scene in the film. (The first is "Be on the lookout for a friendly wing on your starboard side.")
