  1. That looks very good and the camouflage is working well in those photos ;-)
  2. Excellent looking model Al - the mottling works well. I am in the same position as you in that I make 1/72 scale models and have recently bought two Tamiya 1/48 scale Würgers. I am looking forward to the painting.
  3. Hi Matt, it is a wonderful model you have made and gives the impression that it has just been plucked out of it's environment. I like the splatter staining you have achieved on the tanks at the side of the main landing gear especially. Andrew.
  4. That is a very good build of one of the excellent interwar Matchbox bi-planes. Co-incidentally I have have just made the Bulldog, which is very good too. The squadron markings on these aeroplanes were very attractive. Thank you for posting Noel.
  5. Hi there, interesting aircraft type you are starting there. I had a look at your previous build which I thought was plucky and a good result. These interwar types look like they are on their way to developing into some thing else. This one looks like the Austin Alegro of the aeroplane world. Good luck.
  6. Hi Mal, I have followed all of the posts of this thread with great interest and it has been very useful as to what can be done with skill and patience! I am not sure I have as much of either as you do. Your model is excellent and you do a very good WIP thread. With an impressive ability to communicate- your 'Swinglish' is brilliant. Thank you for posting your work. Andrew.
  7. That is an outstanding model, a superb finish, inspirational. It is good to see and thank you for posting.
  8. Your right, I found a Fw 190 A-4 of the North African campaign which is RLM -79 Sandgelb and RLM -76 Weissblau of Afolf Dickfeld Kommanddeur of II./JG2 at Kairouan in Tunisia that is unusual and striking that I am doing at the moment. There are so many to go at.
  9. Hi Duncan, coincidently I am going through a phase of building 1/72 scale Fw 190's at the moment. Practicing with my new airbrush. I really like the models you are producing, the finish is excellent. I agree with your sentiment as there is a real sense of satisfaction to getting a model finished to some thing like you intended.
  10. Ok no need I can see it has, it may be a bit big I will adjust that next time. Andrew
  11. Hello I am trying to post a picture into my post so I have followed the instructions in the FAQ section so here goes - It is of my 1/72 scale wing jig for my Fokker D.V1 Could you let me know if it works please. Thank you, Andrew
  12. Hello Mike, and yes I suppose I was being polite about the Merlin range, a friend of mine refers to them as a scratch building aid. I bought several at last years Duxford air shows and was attracted by the subject and have being trying to build them ever since. The final stage has resulted in making plastic card jigs to hold the wings to enable me to get the vertical distance and stagger correct for each aircraft whilst I cut and fit the struts. I am getting good at sourcing plastic card rod and strip suitable for 1/72nd scale world war one struts and cabane struts! I was surprised how expensive they were when i bought them, this of course doesn't help with my natural 'carefulness' where money is concerned and consequently will not stop with these two until i get some kind of result. Andrew
  13. Hello All, I have just started this model and wondered if any one has any advice on this kit. I have found the contents a bit basic - for example it comes with the Pfalz D.X11 in the same box and there is not enough rod supplied to make all the struts from, so I am cutting them individually. Does anybody have a photo of the model they have done? I would post a picture of my progress so far if I knew how. Andrew

  15. I seemed to have put a link up to my entire Flickr account. How do I link a single photo? I have read the instructions but obviously not followed them correctly. Andrew
