I'm just starting getting back into model kits again and I've dusted of my H&S evolution. I seem to remember that I was having issues with the airbrush before I put it away. I've given it a through clean, but it doesn't seem to spray clean for a better word.
Hopefully you can see in the attached image of what I mean. I using a 0.2 needle and I was spraying Vallejo primer neat with various PSI settings and I was spraying approximately 4 - 6 inches from the paper and I was pulling the trigger back all the way. It isn't just the primer it does this on Vallejo model air, Tamiya, Mr Hobby etc depending on how much I've thinned the paint. I've tried thinning from 10% to 50% that makes a difference of course, but I still think it isn't spraying like it should and when I compare some airbrush videos on YouTube I can see a big difference. I was wondering if a new nozzle might help or getting a 0.4 needle and nozzle as I'm planning on doing mainly 1/48 aircraft kits. Any advice would be appreciated.
