  1. After many years of buying shoes that last me 2 years at most of daily wear, i've had a proper splurge and bought myself a pair of Loakes. Not cheap but will hopefully see me to retirement in 15 years time! 🙄 Regards, Steve
  2. Learnt and passed 1st time in a Citreon DS3 diesel. Took my test at Harehills in Leeds and anyone familiar with that area and test centre will know how wild it can get up there for driving! 😯 Regards, Steve
  3. In Northampton no less! Doombar, Timmy Taylors Landlord Dark and when i can find it on a wicket, Tetleys Bitter. Not quite as good as when it was brewed in Hunslet but it's very, very close to it. Sam Smiths Dark Mild is also a favourite and if all else fails my go to reserve on draught is Guinness. Regards, Steve
  4. On way up A64 to Scarborough today a very lovely Jag E Type Coupe in silver. Regards, Steve
  5. Had to make the same decision last year with my mate Patch. I still miss that great big grumpy lump of a cat. You have my deepest of condolances. Steve
  6. How do chaps. Can advise anyone with Netflix to watch this. Its the restored 'Roadshow' version with overture at the start and an intermission. it comes in at almost 4 hours. The picture and sound quality are absolutely stunning! I had it on my 10'' tablet whilst painting some figures up last night and will be watching it again on the main TV at some point 👍 Regards, Steve
  7. Ay up Pat @JOCKNEY Sign me up. Will no doubt be something clanky and tanky as I have plenty to choose from. A Churchill perhaps 🤔 Regards, Steve
  8. Yep, and was a great museum too. Regards, Steve
  9. How do chaps, Attended the show today and really enjoyed it. Venue was nice and spacious with room to grow. Only issue i found was the lighting wasn't great, which was also mentioned by a couple of the exhibitors i spoke with. I also liked the idea of the comp area being in the main hall so it was easy to find to view the entries. Didn't buy anything as - A. I have enough of a stash already. B. Nothing really jumped out at me, bespite being tempted by a RFM Sherman Firefly for £35. Well done and thanks to the organisers and looking forward to next year. Regards, Steve
  10. A rather scruffy looking Reliant Kitten in a colour that can only be described as turd brown! Regards, Steve
  11. Many happy returns @Mr T and my best wishes to you and Mrs T. Regards, Steve
  12. Very, very nicely done, especially for a first attempt! 👍 Regards, Steve
  13. How do chaps, These arrived today Also purchased yesterday were 10 meters of roofing felt, 500g of clout nails and 2.5ltrs of Bituminous paint to repair Mother In Laws shed roof, thanks to a storm called Debi 🙄 Least it was only the shed that was damaged. And another years worth of car and home insurance.. the thieving rob dogs! 😯 Regards, Steve
  14. Grand. I'll be there and as @Mr T says, it's really good to have a show on home turf 👍 Regards, Steve
  15. Wonderful job @Rumblestripe I really like 28ml Napoleonics and have a few to be going at. Recently bought a box of Perry French and they're great figures 👍 Regards, Steve
  16. A couple of spots today whilst heading to Hornsea. A very nice Austin Healy Sprite and a silver Jaguar XK 120 hard top in silver. Sounded wonderful and a real shame it was being driven by an abdolute tool who kept undertaking traffic and was nearly taken out by a Transit! Regards, Steve
  17. Really am sorry to hear this Peter. Its 6 months since i lost my grumpy old mate Patch and i still miss him every day. Take care, Steve
  18. Here we have my friends cat Minty insisting on finishing her ice cream... And... here is her other cat Winnie who is obviously plotting poor old Minty's demise! Regards, Steve
  19. A trip to Halifax is never complete without a visit to Modellers World. Problem is, it's now been snaffled by the Mother In Law to be passed to some fat bloke in a red suit. Suffice to say i'll not be seeing it again til December 25th! 🥺 Regards, Steve
  20. Here we have Charlie, one of the local hooligans enjoying a free chicken dinner! Cheeky little sod was hanging off the front door handle as soon as he smelt the bird in the oven! 🤣 Was also doing some gardening this morning with these three supervising... Closest is Charlie's brother Ted, then Tabby who we think is either a stray or a cat who's owners don't really give a fig about him. He's been hanging round for a good few years now, and then there's Charlie skulking off. Who needs a cat when you have the neighbours! Regards, Steve
  21. How do chaps, Finished these a little while back. Victrix 28mm French Artillery 1804 to 1812 set. This was a single sprue i got off ebay for a fiver. Went with the bi-corn hat as i quite like the look of them. Uniforms are probably not accurate but i enjoyed doing them all the same. Painted in GW Contrast paints apart from the cannon barrel which is Vallejo Bronze. And here's a bonus shot of a Victrix 54mm French Grenadier i've been pootling with today! Regards, Steve
  22. View from my office window this afty... A classic example of money not being able to buy taste! Think I need to go and bleach my eyeballs! 😬 Regards, steve
  23. Doh! Totally forgot that was today 🤦‍♂️ Regards, Steve
  24. Been to Bridlington today and Croppers on Lansdowne Road has finally gone 🙄 Not at all surprised as last time i was in it had very limited stock. Would seem they are still trading on line and hopefully will keep going. Regards, Steve
