  1. Those are good pics I had not seen some before. Although I think in the first part, one he identifies as Red 1 is actually Red 4, if you look at the damage just under the windscreen and compare it to the famous picture of '4' on the scrap heap, it looks identical. That and the upper gun cowl looks flat.
  2. Clover, I hate clover. It's a paint to try and pull out of the garden. A friend suggested that my soil might be deficient in nitrate and suggested adding this to kill off the clover, so when I can actually go to the hardware store I shall try this.
  3. No, that's not my tinder profile, it's a new GB suggestion. The idea is pretty simple; anything packing a 6 inch gun or bigger. That's 152mm to those who don't use inches. Lots of possibilities from battleships and cruisers to tanks and self propelled guns and artillery or railway guns. All scales and genre welcome.
  4. I made a small start tonight. Detail looks to be ok, no seatbelt but I think I can live with it. Lots of decals for details on the interior which is fine. Fit seems to be pretty good, it is Hasegawa afterall.
  5. Very interesting, I had seen the profile of 'red 2' and was wondering what that profile was based upon. It's certainly a D-11, but I'd say the picture is inconclusive. I always think of it like this; if it was part of JV44 with the red and white under surfaces, where are the other pictures of it? An aircraft like that would attract attention from soldiers with cameras, much as the others. Perhaps in time something else will turn up, but at the moment it's speculation.
  6. It was a choice between this and VF-51 MiG Killer, but the limited edition deserves to be built. As you can see I've already been testing paints to see what I had that was close enough as we have restictions on movement still in Melbourne so the hobby shops are closed. Anyways I think I have paints that are about right, not sure what I will do with loads yet, you can really bomb them up or later in the Iran-Iraq war they became rather deadly tank killers due to the Iranians adapting them to carry Mavericks.
  7. Knocked out a nice simple Tamiya kit in lockdown just to get something finished. It's in 1/72, with the plastic straight from the box and Eaglecals used for the markings, although I did not use the white stripe decals. Much easier to actually paint them on using 1mm kabuki tape. Eventually I'll do the other 3 to sit beside her.
  8. Guy who bought the house next door and is now trying to rent it out, has left the house backyard lights on. One of them shines directly into my bedroom. Since we are all locked in our homes over this way, no one is visiting the house to turn them off and I'm on the verge of jumping the fence and turning off his power!
