  2. yes it looks like the m5 and not an m9 as it does not have the side stowage lockers near the front doors. definatly not an m3, great pics though
  3. ok will do and get back to you asap thanks shaun
  4. the boom on that m32b4 does seem to be a lot shorter overhang than a normal m32 so it could be a rebuild. more pics would help, but very rare is suspect.
  5. thanks thomas your chq is in the post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I have moulded one, but it is not on the webshop as yet sadly this site will not allow me to paste links it is a gaming model rather than a full model kit but I think it is only 1 of 2 available, ours is 72 the other is 48th scale sandsmodelsshop.com there are links on the webshop to our picture site where the warthog is pictured under 'new projects' thanks shaun s&s models

  8. sadly this forum does not seem to allow me to post pics or links, but I have got good pics from the man website including good overhead shots. I am making a whole range of 72 scale gb man sx trucks for my range. sandsmodelsshop.com but they are taking longer than expected. thanks shaun
  9. great pics thanks for sharing
  10. the new gb man trucks are not quite the same, there are 2 versions the hx and the sx, the hx have a different mudguards after the front wheels and the spare is across the cab, the sx is closer but the bodies are different. the hx also has leaf springs and most gb ones are the hx type, the amount of wheels does not matter either as the ranges are all wheels types. I hope this helps

  15. brilliant as usual nige, really looking good now, with the right light and back ground it could be mistaken for a real one! finaly getting somewhere with my foden drops in 1/72, i ought to get the pics on the forum.
  16. looking realy impressive now nige, can you tell me where you got those tyres/wheels? i fancy converting one of my 1/24th trucks into a desert truck and they would look good on it. also is there a driven front axle in 1/24-1/25th available to do all wheel drive conversions on plastic kits? cant wait for the fianl result, keep it up, thanks shaun
  17. excellent pics, thanks a lot, i wonder how much they are??????? we already have a 1/2 size one but afull size one would be fantastic, trouble is too many projects on the go, must finnish some over xmas thank for the comments shaun
  18. thanks for the comments, who are sac as making the legs will take some time, any links ect? as for livery it will probably be put back into air france markings as being a wargamer we intend refighting the entebbe raid, as all we need now is the terminal and control tower, we have the figures, limo, jeeps, runway and even enough c130's all in 1/72 scale, we do quite often do massive demo games in our club, won quite a few trophies for them as well. we even made the stalingrad grain ellevator in 1/72 for a game a few years ago, that was a massive building. i am currently also working on this:- the reichstag also in 1/72 for our battle of berlin games next year, as for the bedcovers, it was the only place i could photograph it as the sun was absent that day. thanks shaun
  19. whilst wandering around a toy fair recently i came across this model:- i thought it was near the right size, so i bought it, when i got it home, i measured it and it is 1/72 scale, i have pictured it with a 1/72 mastiff mrap, it does have a engine missing but i can easily replace it, i does have a few holes which will need filling and it does not have any landing gear but again easly made, just right for our clubs raid on entebbe game, only £10 a real bargain for sure,
  20. hi stevie i will gladly send you a pdf of all that we make, and there is a lot for afghanistan, please just email me [email protected] picture site here:- http://s513.photobucket.com/albums/t339/sandsmodels/ many thanks shaun s&s models
  21. i know a lot of you have been using these usefull models for a while and i recently managed to get a set of 6 quite cheap so i thought about converting them for my mercenary forces. the models can be bought as a military one with a 2 tone green camo job but mine were all either the aa, (automobile association), the rac, (royal automobile club), or the fire service. a bit too bright for an army. i firstly took them apart to see what i could do, to roof cover comes off without too much trouble if you prize it open, you need to drill out thr rivets underneath but not too hard a job, to get the body off the chassis, once apart you can see that the winscreen is attached to the roof and will come apart quite easily, i did not want too many with windscreens so i it is possible to remove the windscreen from the bottom of the window frame as it is a separate part, the dashboard and steering wheel are separate parts and you will need to remove the dash to get a figure onto the seat, it just clips back on no glue needed, i fiddled with the seat base to make it fix to the chassis better and used super glue to keep it there, the front and rear bumpers can also be removed and some just fell off, the cab roof has a metal frame so this i removed with a dremel type mini drill and cutting disc, i test fitted a driver figure and he fitted perfectly, i then started to play around with stowage and a roll bar from one of our pick up's, quite often with these sorts of vehicles the bed is usualy crammed full of stuff and the gunner stands on top of it, i used a sand channel for the gunner to stand on on this one, then it was just a case of filling up the vehicles with lots of stowage and equipment and the adding the guns, the advantage of making a range of vehicle crews, stowage and guns is that i never run out of bits and pieces to use, i decided to do just 3 for now, with the other 2 being earmarked for a small a/a auto cannon and a rec rifle, once i have finnished the stowage and guns i just primed them with car spray primer and then thought about a camo scheme for them, i also decided to use a variety of crew figs, some in beret's floppy hats and one with a baseball cap, i did not want them to be too much desert or jungle so i decided on a sand and green scheme so i could use them in european, desert and jungle based games, same with the uniform just a simple dpm scheme, i used a devlan mud wash and a sand coloured dry brush, the guns are either fal 7.62 gpmg's or .50 cal hmg's, some of the crew have slr's as well, i removed the moulded on number plate as well and was going to mount bull bars with stowage on the front but decided not to in the end, i may add them onto the rec rifle and a/a gun conversions when i get around to doing them, i could at a push use them for british 1970'/1980's as well if needed, 'green panthers' so to speak. this is the radio car, this one has the twin and single gpmg's, and this one has a single .50 cal hmg, i will post pics of the rec rifle and a/a ones when they are finnished, hopefully over xmas, there are more pics here:- http://s513.photobucket.com/albums/t339/sa...;cpZZ1QQtppZZ16 thanks for looking shaun
