  1. Well, I looked in four branches of WH Smiths for the first issue and... not a sausage. I was told that it's the sort of item that only the largest branches would stock. I guess I've missed the boat on this one (c'est la vie!) Chris.
  2. Hi, Bangor Lad. If you're talking about buying every part to build the whole thing... to be honest, I would save my money. I have always felt these "part-work" magazine models are a horribly expensive way to build anything. There is no guarantee that Heng Long or Merit won't bring out a plastic 1/16th sherman Firefly at some time and it's likely to be a hell of a lot cheaper than this one. Just my two-penneth worth, mate. Chris.
  3. If you're into 1/16th scale AFV's, I reckon it would be worth getting the first issue just for a 99p metal barrel.... Cheers. Chris.
  4. That Space Jockey is just plain awesome! The skin-tones are superb, sir. I have this kit but have never got anywhere near starting it.... Thanks for all the images. Cheers. Chris.
  5. Certainly not me, that's for sure! Chris.
  6. A superb rendition of the Typhoon.... Many thanks for sharing with us. Chris.
  7. Very lovely work. Wish my efforts at weathering would come out even half as good as this.... Thanks for sharing. Chris.
  8. Hi, 44years. Ahhhh, one of the many advantages of being a divorcee...... Sometimes Creative's delivery can be a bit too quick for its own good. Chris.
  9. Hi, 44years. If you check out the "Bargains" section in the Forums, there's a good discussion going on the merits of this kit (I'm a bit biased here - I got mine last week and - for the money - I reckon it's a cracking kit and pretty good value for money). Thanks for posting this, anyway. Chris.
  10. Hi, Parabat. I noticed this issue with a lot of the new bottles in the "branch" of Model Zone in Westfield, Shepherds Bush, London. They had maybe 15 of them in there a few months ago and most of them exhibited this issue. I can only assume it's a basic design flaw with the caps. Cheers. Chris.
  11. Quite...simply...amazing. I really wish I had even half your skill. Thanks very much for sharing. Chris.
  12. Looks really good to me, Sir. Thanks very much for sharing with us.
  13. One thing that did occur to me.... obviously you can move the mask all around the fuselage whilst using it and angle it or turn it upside down, but does it become obvious that you are re-using the same pattern all the time? I would take a guess that masking off small sections of the pattern would help get around this issue.... Many thanks. Chris.
  14. Afternoon, All. I've just bought the above bit of PE kit from Hannants.... It provides mottle-patterns for FW-190, Me-262 and "Night-Fighters". Has anyone ever used one? If so, is it any good? Are there any tips for using it? Many thanks. Chris.
  15. Hi, Mark. I seem to remember this one being posted in For Sale. If it's not been deleted now, you should find it there. Cheers. Chris.
  16. Very good images of an evocative subject, Dave. Thanks very much for sharing.
  17. Hi, Jabba. In this situation - if you have to use the paints - I would suggest you strip the old paint off, prime the model's surface completely and then paint the kit again. More hassle, it's true, but will lead to much better results. Hope this helps. Chris.
  18. Hi, mate. Hannants do a True Details BF-109E resin cockpit for a shade under 11 quid. Any use to you? Chris.
  19. Lovely build and paint job, InFlames. Thanks very much for sharing with us. I really must dig my Trumpeter two-seater Hog out of the bottom of the stash....one of these days... I can dream, can't I? Cheers. Chris.
  20. How about Mr. Models in Brum? I think they have a conventional shop, but a quick phone call to them to confirm this would be advisable...
  21. Very, very excellent work, Sir! No way would I have the patience for this one..... Your builds are inspiration for us all. Cheers. Chris.
  22. Really superb work! You have about ten times the patience I would have on a project like this. Thanks very much for sharing. Chris.
