  1. The Extra-Super-Ultra-Low-Observable version is the better one, IMHO. Cheers. Chris.
  2. Just had a look at the line-up of Sywell aircraft - in the assumption that everything booked actually turns up, this will be a bigger, more diverse show than any recent Flying Legends. Looking forward to it, very much. Cheers. Chris.
  3. Hi, Captain Glumbo. I've seen a set of comprehensive Top Gun aftermarket decals on E-Bay in the last few months. I think they were around £9.00 and were 1/48th. Good luck in your quest. Chris.
  4. I didn't know you had seen most of my efforts with an airbrush, Mike! Chris.
  5. Deeply, deeply shocking! An astonishing combination of factors, leading to the deaths of 99 individuals. Why didn't the crew just talk to each other? Pride, or a massively-inflated sense of being incapable of making a mistake? Chris.
  6. There's a lot of evidence that audiences are sick to the back teeth of Hollywood's Message. I know I am.... Chris.
  7. I would think you could make a 12-hour Napoleon movie and still have to miss a lot out, Mike. Chris.
  8. A decent film, but could have been MUCH better. The historical inaccuracy did not concern me in the slightest. Many felt Mr. Phoenix was the wrong actor for the job - I thought his performance was "workman-like", but nothing more. The actor playing Josephine was OK, but that might be my personal opinion of her coming in to play, admittedly. I don't know if the longer version on streaming would be a better watch, as I've yet to see it. Cheers. Chris.
  9. From what I've read, Disney are now putting some major money in to the Doctor - one rumour I read was that each episode is costing between 7 and 10 million dollars. How true is this? To be honest, I have no idea. Before anyone asks the inevitable "How on earth can it cost that much?" question, that is now considered a "low-budget" production. Amazon's Lord of the Rings streaming-series is rumoured to have cost $55 to 60 Million PER EPISODE. By the way, it looked great, but the scripts absolutely sucked, big time. Cheers. Chris.
  10. Hello, All. Date: Sunday 30th June 2024. Venue: The Midland Air Museum Rowley Road Coventry Warwickshire CV3 4FR Organizer contact: [email protected] A quick listing for the 2024 Summer model show, organized by the Coventry & Warwickshire IPMS. This is a large, very well-established scale model show, held annually at the Midland Air Museum. The museum is very worth visiting in it's own right, as it hosts a great selection of aircraft and aviation artefacts. The collection includes an Avro Vulcan, two EE Lightnings, Tornado, Mi-24 Hind, two F-4 Phantoms, Mig-21, F-104 Starfighter, F-101 Voodoo and numerous other exhibits. If there are enough museum-volunteers available, some of the aircraft could be made "open cockpit" for the day, also subject to decent weather conditions. In addition to a large selection of model-clubs (often with under-the-table bargains), there will be a number of new and second-hand kit dealers in the main hangar. Traders are (likely) to include Klassic Kits (Steve Foster), Mainly Military Models, Chris Mitchell Models, Parabellum Models and several others. Additionally, the museum will be selling a selection of its kits and books, all at competitive prices. Standard museum admission-charges will apply (please see the museum website for full details). The museum's cafe will be open throughout the day.
  11. As I'm sure you know, they only ever made two examples of NAW Warthog - I believe one is currently in a museum collection (possibly old information, admittedly). Would the front-seat cockpit be radically different to the single-seater version? I would take an (educated) guess that the extra screens for night/poor-weather sensors would be in the back-seat tub. More learned modellers than myself could confirm or deny this theory..... Cheers. Chris.
  12. It's not "a" valuable commodity.... it is THE most lucrative resource of the 21st Century. In 2017 (IIRC), stored customer-data exceeded crude-oil as the most valuable resource available. This stuff is worth many Trillions of Dollars annually. Cheers. Chris.
  13. Thanks for the information, Francex98. I have now found a couple of a couple of UK 3-D printers who make 1/16th Tiger engines and transmission-units. I've also bought the Verlinden Tiger engine and compartment - a bigger scale (1/15th), but I'm hoping I can persuade it to go into the Hobbyboss model. I can dream, can't I? Cheers. Chris.
  14. Apparently, in the scene in which the Joker walks out of the hospital , the "delay" on the explosions going off was not as planned, but Chris Nolan liked Heath Ledger's genuine reaction so much, he decided to use it in the movie anyway. Thanks for sharing your work with us. Cheers. Chris.
