F/A-18E Super Hornet by Revell
Godsmack replied to Godsmack's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
thank you ! i just used florys dark dirt wash and abteilung oil paints. -
This is my F/A-18E Super Hornet by revell. Bought it for a low amount of money. It's not a bad kit. I just had some trouble with the decals , especially on the vertical stabilizers. They're nearly invisible, don't know why. I followed the federal standard colour schemes for the hornet. Anyway, the weathering was the hotspot for me. No panelline preshading anymore. Instead of this, black basing and a extensive use of oilwashes. Just trial and error and see what's in the end. So, at the end, i'm not 100% pleased with the result becaus of the decals. And now , time for bashing.

Hi modellers ! Anotherone is leaving the bench. This Revell's Rafale C. In my opinion, one of the beautiest modern jets. I like french jets. Built out of the box with exception of the intake covers. A really good kit for a low price. I decided to keep the weathering very simple , cause the french airforce keeps them pretty clean. The model is painted with gunze and ak metal colours. Have fun !

After a long abstinece from the bench, i want to show you my latest finished model. Build to get back to refresh the skills after a looong break because of serious health issues and watching the kids grow up 😍 But now, everthing is fine and i'm back on the bench. This is the Hasegawa F-15D, built straight out of the box except the ACMI-Pod, some antennas and the Aires resin nozzles. Painted with paints by mr. paint and mr. hobby. Hope you like it.

Absolutely recommended ! If you think about the money... for 20-30 euros, it's a bargain. You can't do nothing wrong with it ! -
@ Tony.. i drilled the holes in advance. Later in the built, i decided not to use the rear phoenix pallets. But i left them open...maybe later i rearm the leftover phoenix missiles...maybe.

1/32 Revell Bf 109G-14 "Blue 62"

awesome built , awesome paint .... absolutely stunning ! -
And another one finished project. It's Tamiya's F-14A Tomcat in 1/48 scale. I build it straight from the box without any aftermarket parts. Building this kit was fun and so easy. But for that price... i wish tamiya would spend some extra parts like different chin pods and beaver tails, to build some different blocks of this beautiful aircraft. Painted with gunze colors. Washing was done with MIG-washes . I tried to keep the weathering simple and tried not do overpower for the time period this plane was in service (around 1979) . Edit: For the painting, i didn't used any alclads on the hot section. This was done with tamiya colors. I was inspired by a youtube bild from " Scale-a-ton" . It's worth seeing ! Lets go... Some Details....

Hi Gent's ! I want to show you my newest finished model. It's the Revell F-15E Strike Eagle 1/48 scale. The model is painted with gunze colors (H305), gunze metallic colors and alclcad around the heat section. I also added a few aftermarket bits. Eduard photo etch cockpit panels and some exterior parts. eduard heat seaker cover and RBF-tags for the sidewinder missiles and sensor covers from two mikes. So, thats the model... hope you like it. Feel free to criticise ! Some Detail pics....

Hi Folks ! This is my first finished model since 2 years. I had to fight against flipping cancer. So, this is the first step back to the workbench. The kit is the well known Tamiya Aggressor adversary. My Viper was built out of the box and fully painted with tamiya colours. And now some images. Outdoor pictures will follow when i'm back from rehabilitation.

Revell 1/32 F-15E Demonstrator

Very good work Harrison ! Like that scheme ,also the technique of painting the markings, looks highly authentic ! Can you recommend that kit. Would be a cheaper alternative to the tamiya eagle. -
Thank you all.... @ Breaker, yeah you're right. The kit isn't that bad. With a little more scratchwork and maybe some aftermarket parts, you can build a very nice F-15 out of that kit. I like it and it surely will land on my desk again in the future.

Thx for all the kind words.. sad news, the plane meanwhile crashed from my boards after cleaning them.
