  1. Well done! The fiddly antennas would drive me nuts. Very nice model.
  2. Revell new version? It looks wonderful. Lots of hardware hanging from it. I have several of the classic 1960s Revell Condor. One day!
  3. Thank you very much. I'm not much on weatheriing but try to make the best out of my kits.
  4. A wonderful miniature professionally executed. Well done sir.
  5. Here's my version of the classic kit from Hasegawa. These 1/72 kits make wonderful models as they are. Kit decals and Model Master enamels.
  6. A while back I was on a PST kit building spree and here is one of the models I finished. I added bits of wire and a metal barrel. Careful and minimal weathering with wash, dry brushing and pastels completed the model. Kit decals. The track and link tracks can be a bit tricky. With care these kits make nice models in the end.
  7. Thanks! No, it's the old Flak Bait kit from the 1960s,
  8. Thank you all. This kit was painted with Tamiya Dk yellow, dark green and red brown. Detailed with pastels.
  9. This is the venerable SBD by Airfix and was build out of the box, except for the dive brakes which were drilled out with a pin vise. Decals from the Hasegawa SBD for a North Africa version. It is a nice simple model. New clear parts will greatly improve the look of the model.
  10. An older build of the very nice Dragon M4A1 Sherman built out of the box with just a few add ons. Getting the tiny photo-etch parts was the hardest part of building this kit. I do need to touch up some of the tracks where the paint was worn off. The model was weathered with old school pastels.
  11. The figure painting is very nicely done. It certainly looks the part.
  12. Hey! In the box art it was grey and I'm sticking to that! Here is yellow version done a while back.
  13. This is an older build but I don't think I've posted these photos before. I did re-scribe the model and added a few bits from the Airfix B-26. MicroScale decals.
  14. Yes that was the kit I built. The kit is a mishmash of various versions so I just called a Ju88
  15. I agree. The landing gear is missing the rear support and is a bit weak. I'll make sure to fix it next time. I've sold this one though. Gentlemen. Thank you are for your comments and suggestions.
  16. This is the Me109G at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, Va. It was taken last year on 120 film with a Minolta Autocord twin lens reflex. Sometimes just one photo is all that needed.
  17. Thank you gentlemen for your comments. I can't imagine the privations they encountered during their ordeal, especially on the open boat journey.
  18. Love this model. You did a very nice job on the kit. Well done sir.
  19. I built and painted this kit exactly as the instructions indicated. The only extras I did was do some minor scribing on the wings and fuselage. Fun build. Next time will vac-form the clear parts.
  20. Here's my version of the classic Matchbox kit. I did add some bits and pieces from a Dragon Panther (yes I know the scale is different). Weathered with good old pastels.
  21. It goes on after you paint the model and goes on just like any wash. You make a wash with the paint and future. When you apply the wash it will surround detail nicely. On the wheels I wanted the wash darker than normal so I had to do was paint the outer wheels. The rims were neatly outlined in black. You can add a few drops or more depending on how dark you want it.
  22. I remember trying to build the Stalin tank. I thought they were too hard for my 7 years old skills. Lots of glue helped. I was introduced to Airfix in the early 1960s then later when MPC imported the kits under their label.
  23. Thanks Stix. The shape and detail is all there. It just needs a bit of careful assembly and subtle painting to bring it out. I did use a black acrylic paint wash and Future. The good thing about using a future wash is that the paint went around the wheels easily. Then I finished painting the rest of the wheel in black.
  24. Currently studying the unbelievable story of the Endurance and her crew under Ernest Shackleton's leadership and am wondering if there is a plastic kit available. Thanks, David
