  1. Thank you! I'm a 1/72 modeler and this new brave world of 1/35 has me all confused. Thanks for the advice. My instinct was to go for a dark glossy finish on the windows on my Italeri 1/35 Sherman M4A1 with 76mm gun. You just confirmed my choice. Thanks!
  2. Trying to finish a shelf of doom Sherman and I need to paint the armored glass around the commander's hatch. Any suggestions for a paint choice? Thanks.
  3. Thanks! Oh I agree. I thought I had the figures, but they are gone. I'll have to find some others. Thanks!
  4. This kit has 1975 stamped on the plastic but it is still a nice kit. It is shorter than the DML version of the same gun, but it certainly looks the part.
  5. Built while sick with the flu I managed to finish this Airfix 1/72 A/B-26C after years in the shelf of doom. I used Tamiya silver after many coats of primer and sanding applications. Testors flat black for the engines and lower wings. I tried using Humbrol's spray can silver but it was flat and had to go with Tamiya's spray can silver. Marked with SuperScale decals.
  6. Aviation Usk 1/72 Ki-10 Perry. Tamiya Paints and kit decals. This is my second built of this kit in the last month
  7. This is the new version of the Me262. It is beautifully detailed. The decals are excellent and the fit is precise, but some filler was needed on mine in the usual places, namely the wing-engine mounting joins, and the bottom seam when the fuselage and wing join. The detail is very nice, especially on the bottom. Next to it is the much taller 1960 version.
  8. Here's a shot of the test aircraft.
  9. Some re-enactors jumped from the Ju52 in proper uniform and kit.
  10. Thank you! Give them a shot. They build up rather nicely.
  11. I have photos of one of those simulators taken at ELP Airport. They doing training around White Sands, NM in November 1976.
  12. Thanks for the additional info. I was not aware either. Someone mentioned B-25 cowls, but I'm not sure.
  13. Yeah that canopy sure gives it a funny look to it.
  14. That's when one had to do conversions in order to get any other variants. Only kits from back then in 1/72, this one and the Revell. I don't recall others. Thank you!
  15. This is the Airfix 1/72 Fw-190A strung up by fishing line and photographed to simulate a gun camera frame.
  16. I added an aerial, pitot tube and masking tape seat belts. I lost the nose wheel and replaced all the wheels from the spares box.
  17. Ha! It surely can't be confused for anything other than an Me262a. I built this one as a comparision to the new version.
  18. The canopy sits way to high compared to other Me262s. I plan on building it's new companion shortly. It's a vintage kit with outline inaccuracies but it does look the part. Kit came out 15 years after WWII.
  19. I used the decals from the new Airfix Me262. XtraColor RLM82 Dk Green, RLM 76 lower.
