  1. Dannielle, Wonderful and evocative pictures! From some other pictures you posted recently (Sea Venom?), I wonder about the Sky finish on the real aircraft you photograph--on both aircraft the Sky appears to be the same, which is much less green and much more a plain light gray than I would expect. Do you think this is from the paint aging and weathering, or are most of the Sky Type S modeling paints too green? All I've ever seen of Sky Type S is from pictures or model paints, I've not had the pleasure of seeing real samples. Also, I would LOVE to see some pictures of Miranda's weapons bay... And the wing folds... And the cockpits... Cheers, Don NW US (Spokane, WA)
  2. Hello all, I'm helping a German modeling friend of mine. He is looking for the font of the gold lettered BOAC VC-10 as in this picture. Can anyone tell me what font this is? Regards, Don
  3. Hi Dave, I'm really hoping that if Airfx reissues the Dominie soon, that they will include decals up to their new standard such as with the Hawk T Mk1A/Mk51. How are the decals in the kit you have? I love the RAF Cranwell birds in black and white, that is definitely the scheme I would build. Cheers, Don
  4. I'm actually lucky enough to have the Airfix Jetstream with USAF box art. Was it ever reissued, or was this the only version? I love turboprops... I understand this version has the incorrect engines, but that can be fixed. Cheers, Don
  5. Hi, With the recent drastic SDSR cuts of RAF and RN aircraft, I wonder if Airfix might alter their upcoming releases to commemorate some of the fine aircraft being put out to pasture too soon? Maybe a special issue of the last Harrier markings, or even reissuing their Dominie T.1 in their last flight colors? Wishful, but hopeful, thinking! Though I'm a longtime builder of Airfix kits, I really am impressed with the direction Airfix is going--and I'm sure they are way ahead of me in thinking of kitting these early aircraft retirements. This is my first posting on Britmodeller, I usually frequent Hyperscale but I do love British aircraft very much. I just finished a CMR Jet Provost and am working on the CMR Avro York in BOAC wartime markings. Here's some pictures of my Jet Provost on CMR's website, they are the first model in High Speed Silver and DayGlo: http://www.cmrmodels.co.uk/cmr-192/hunting...st-t3%27t4.html Cheers, Don Hinton Major, USAF (Retired) Spokane, Washington
