  1. Simply, a wonderful build! Even though I know of no Zero with a sharkmouth scheme, I am so glad I took the time to look as I have been inspired! Actually, I bought Tamiya's 1/48th scale Zero as an investment (my way of voting with my wallet to show I appreciate when they downscale they stupendous large scale releases). Now, I may have to build it someday! Regards,
  2. I quote for the click2detail exhaust nozzles. These are 3D printed parts (the long-feathered nozzles are offered as well), that means:BOTH burner cans, incl. outer, inner feather-rings (with actuators), the middle junktion, the aft flat-wall burner pipe and the forward wave-structured burner pipe WITH the flame-holder-rings (dome -correct- in flight-direction!) . . . comes as ONE PART. Hi Andreas88, have you tried these on the kit? I saw them on Click2Detail but did not order them yet. Regards,
  3. Excellent news for me, no need to rescribe then. Regards,
  4. I got mine and was surprised that one side of the fuselage (at the top) has all the details missing. Panel lines just end. Did you notice that too? Regards,
  5. Images sent to Julien to post in walkarounds. Regards,
  6. Many thanks for posting links to these and to the photographers... I have a 30+ set of an SNJ-2, where would I send them if I wish to share? Regards,
  7. Excellent work Artie! I have the kit but shied away from the Argentinian examples due to the metal finish. I have two (the other for a Siamese Hawk) so may try it! Hi John, would you be able to share the measurements (and/or photographs)? The Siamese kit is one on my to do list. Regards,
  8. You are correct about the L-29 modified for the film, Beyond the Clouds, Sky (1973), to look like a MiG-9. Your other assumptions are also correct. The complete movie is on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTQhz5ZGXzc Regards,
  9. It is expensive but, unlike the Desert Eagle book, it includes plans for each variant (accurately described) and information not forthcoming anywhere else. Two examples: Note that there are two types of roadwheels. Look at the hub caps as a clue. Most of these vehicles had T-55 spider web wheels mixed within the assortment. Taken from Prime Portal. click image to visit if you haven't already. Regards,
  10. Mike, the best book on the vehicle so far is the one by SabingaMartin. Click image to go to web site. Regards,
  11. I like the looks so far! Which schemes do you have to choose from? Regards,
  12. Thank you Ken! Always great to know the provenance of the exhibits. Regards,
  13. These images (amongst the thousands I have) were taken at the Polish Air Force Museum in Krakow in the Fall of 2002. It was a private tour (it helps to speak Polish) but I could use assistance in identifying the aircraft and if they are replicas. I spent most of my time on the WWII - Modern exhibits and picked the staff's brains for those. Aviatik C.III (is it a replica?) Regards,
  14. Thank you Mark. Back in the 1980s, I travelled quite a bit through the Near and Middle and Far East but didn't have time for museums. Regards,
  15. Thanks for the images! Does the Museum have a web site listing all their displays? Regards,
  16. Hi SaintsPhil, That's OK if you can't help since it seems I won't post my build here. To answer your query, the wingspan should be around 40.625cm when completed. Regards,
  17. OK, I went there and read this: I am not the OP of the other thread on the Kitty Hawk T-6, the information I imparted here wasn't there either as these are my own photographs of my own kit. Here I am asking about how to improve my kit, not an announcement. Also, I posted these images at 0950, 40 minutes prior to your reposting the images from Cybermodeler (and I provided more photographs including details). My apologies then, the first post has been edited, all the images are removed, so feel free to delete the topic. Regards,
  18. Use this link instead: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234939162-132nd-north-american-t-6-texansnj-harvard-by-kittyhawk-sprue-shots-released/page-2#entry1518368 They are not my images nor of my kit. Regards,
  19. I have received the kit and would post images but do not know where... Regards,
  20. Nice Jug! Wait, it doesn't sound right unless referring to a pair... Ian, go build another! Regards,
  21. I have been working on the same kit and can't agree. I guess this is all personal opinions. I really like the subject, am aware of the shortcomings so far, and have planned an approach. I already reworked the vertical stabilizers, and have been detailing the cockpit. I created a new circular bulkhead to replace the radar bulkhead and be a guide to correct the oval cross section. I enjoy building my models and do not mind the extra effort since out of the box doesn't really exist for me (except when my son points to an empty spot on his bedroom ceiling). I have seen others build their kits too, to their level, and it looks good! For example: http://www.scalespot.com/gallery/aircraft/mig25pd/mig25pd.htm Perhaps some photographs illustrating your problems can get you feedback on overcoming them by those that have built the kit? As for the problem you illustrated before, this was the resolution (taken from the build linked above): Click image to go to build page. I hope this helps. Regards,
  22. The address is correct for Merit Productions. The disinformation that has been going around is that it is a joint between Trumpeter or Hobby Boss and Merit and that the kit will still be released under the Chinese brands. Regards,
