  1. Always good to see you bring the lesser known types to these pages. Thank you.
  2. It'll mean tractors 'drag racing.'
  3. Scorrier to the first dual section after that east bound; just under an hour last weekend. No tractors involved either. In all 4 miles in one hour!
  4. Where I work; not far away.
  5. Scowling at people. It's a dying art and one I would like to resurrect.
  6. Reminds me of the 'Lost Gardens of Heligan.' Looks damn fine from where I'm sat (not far from there at present).
  7. Well that was better value than a cup of filtered soil.
  8. Nice rendition of a type that holds good memories for me.
  9. A slightly more advanced life form just above those frequently encountered in the Independent Quarter in Plymouth. The main difference here being the above isn't gnawing on a 'clownburger' or supping 'White Lightning.' This is first hand experience, most recently this morning.
  10. I use ground pastels (not oil based ones) of a suitable shade pertinent to the aircraft colours. Applied as appropriate with a battered old micro brush then brushed in the direction of airflow over the aircraft. That's my basic method for highlighting panel lines. Antics in Cornwall Street has Micro brushes and pastels can be had from Hobbycraft on Exeter Rd outbound from Charles Cross roundabout.
  11. Alreet bonny lad; Welcome from a northeast exile.
  12. It's a Sea Fury and must never be consigned to the shelf of doom. Good recovery.
  13. Lovely example. I did a Hobbycraft one years ago. It was different and therefore appealed to me.

    BBC news

It's already obsolete, over budget, subject to manufacturer/nationality/political infighting, scrapped at the last minute etc.. etc. Sound familiar; or am I being cynical?
  15. Nice one. I read somewhere many years ago that one of the German tanks at Bovington is reputedly haunted by 'Herman the German.' 131 perhaps? Anyway; ghosts? Piff!
  16. Nice build and a fitting tribute. It's all to easy to take for granted the fillet of pollack on your plate without any thought of how it got there. I've seen first hand total loss of life at sea. If anybody sees a Fishermen's Mission collection box please put something in. They also have a nice little charity shop in Helston.
  17. Trying a new fishery for the first time today. Chatting to one of the most well mannered and respectful young chaps I've ever encountered. Not your average couch wallah but someone partaking in an activity not involving a 'Playbox.' Being able to pass on advice and techniques to a genuinely interested person. (yes that is 50yr old rod in the foreground, in 1/1 scale) And this beauty; last cast of the day. Same rules apply to handling and return
