  1. @Miggers: hello Miggers, have you maybe a picture of a Spitfire which I´m trying to find? Thank you.
  2. @ Giorgio N: thank you very much I think you´re right, all shown Spitfires are Mk.Vc´s but anyway thank you that you tried to help
  3. Guys, ok, thank you very much. I see that this thread is going everywhere but not in the direction I wanted. Nobody has a picture of the desired Spitfire? Hmm, that is sad but I will survive and will not have 243 Spitfires and Seafires in my collection but only 242. Maybe, one day I will find one. Once again thanks to all gentlemen who wanted to help.
  4. Interesting. The thing is that I´m building only Spitfires which are presented on a photo or picture. Have you one of the mentioned Spit?
  5. I wrote it some posts ago: "Purpose? Ok, I´m building on the world´s biggest Spitfire collection in 1/72 and have app.150 Spits finished (or nearly finished). I´m trying to represent every piece as a version, subversion or field conversion and I´m trying to build only Spits, which are presented on a pic or photo. For those of you with a fb account here a pic of around 100 Spits posted on Airfix´s wallboard: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10202085987565625&set=o.65102591270&type=1&theater&notif_t=like
  6. @ Chockhead: in Matusiak´s Book about the Mk.V there is the lower picture with this text: No.318 (Polish) Sqn Spitfire V Trop with a W/Cdr pennant on the engine cowling, this is almost cerstainly JK173 L-W, the personal aeroplane of W/Cdr Leszek Wielochowski, the Sqn OC. The shades in the monochrome photo seem to match the Temperate Land Scheme of Dark Earth/Dark Green, with Sky undersides.
  7. See up. I´m trying to find a pic of a Spitfire Vb with late exhausts (2x6) and Vokes. As example I took the 352.Squadron which has not only Mk.Vc´s with this configuration, but also a Vb with Aboukir...I strongly believe there was also a machine which I´m looking for.
  8. Bob, this was only an example. As I have shown there are some "normal" Mk.Vc´s in this "late" configuration (the Yugoslav Spits) I´m quite sure, there must be some examples of Mk.Vb in the desired configuration. I strongly believe that if the Yugoslavs have for example a late Spit Vb with Aboukir filter and normal wingspan that they could have also some Vb´s with Vokes, a they carry some of the late serials. See cover of this book: http://militaryaviation148.blogspot.sk/2013/04/spitfire-mk-vbt-no-352-y-raf-squadron.html The problem is, there are no pics.
  9. Hello Edgar nice to see you here. So if there was a modification and only on the V Tropical so I think there should be picture of this kind of Spitfires, especially a Mk.Vb..and that´s what I´m looking for. http://spitfiresite.com/2010/04/spitfires-of-the-us-navy.html there on the bottom is a pic of a Mk.Vc with standard wingspan...
  10. Thank you guys for your replies. Also the 352. (Yugloslav) Squadron has some of them. I think one of the last batches of Mk.Vb´s could have these exhausts. There are some pics of 12 exhausts Spits on the page http://www.asisbiz.com/il2/Spitfire/RAF-352Sqn.html. In Matusiak´s Book about the Mk.V (Mushroom) is on page 14 a Mk.Vb EP509 with these exhausts and new aerial for the IFF under the wing. In the background another machine with visible normal span wings. I can not believe that this kind of Spitfires were not built with Vokes filter....
  11. Purpose? Ok, I´m building on the world´s biggest Spitfire collection in 1/72 and have app.150 Spits finished (or nearly finished). 12. Hmm ...see here: http://www.largescaleplanes.com/articles/article.php?aid=548 (scroll down a bit till you come to Spitfire Mk.Vc SN-A) or here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:BAM-08-Spitfire_Vc_Trop.jpg... or http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-90CVW9uj34M/UXF6J29E92I/AAAAAAAALqU/Uw_ljk6Hl94/s1600/pg0.jpg there are some Spitfires Mk.Vc with normal wingspan also in the Mushroom book about the Mk.V, but it´s too complicated to post pics here. SO I think if there are Mk.Vc´s with normal wingspan, there should be also some Mk.Vb´s.
  13. Dear Joan, thank you for posting these 2 pics, but I´m looking for a machine with standard wingspan. All other attributes are ok, the Vokes and the exhausts. Thank you once again.
  14. Hello gentlemen, I´m urgently looking for a picture (photo would be the best) of a Spitfire Mk.Vb trop with Vokes filter and late (6 on every side) exhausts (similar to the Mk.VII, VIII or IX exhausts). Thank you very much in advance.
  15. Guys, thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it very well.
