Panavia Tornado GR.4 (Revell 1/72)
Richard E replied to AC87's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
As my learn'd friend said - excellent model making sir. -
Fly also produce Wessex HC Mk.2 and HU Mk.5 in 1/32nd scale.
-
I don't know whether Tigger Models are still operating - they produce a number of 1/32 scale vac form kits.

Hi Mike It looks like a RAIDS (Rangeless Airborne Instrumented Debriefing System) ACMI pod fitted with a pair of ballast weights - if you looks at pictures of RAF Typhoons you will often see them carrying with the same type of pod fitted with three weighted collars. Hope this helps.
-
Hi ElFlumpo You haven't said which scale you are looking for but Xtradecal (available from Hannants) should have options in all three popular scales: 1/72nd, 1/48 and 1/32 Hope this helps

I think what is as impressive as the quality of your build is the speed with which it is starting to come together. -
Hi Michael Have you tried looking on Shapeways?

Royal Navy Landing Craft Tank-5, "2272" 1/350

An excellent rendition of an unsung hero going about its daily job-of-work. Fascinated by the small, mundane details that you have added which help bring the whole scene to life, particularly the chap lugging his kitbag across the vehicle deck! -
Revell 1/72 F-16A (H-222 from 1976)
Richard E replied to Rob de Bie's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Very well finished. It's strange how some kits stick in you mind: I brought my example with some birthday money when it was first released (was it really 1976?) from the gift shop at the long lamented Southend Aviation Museum. -
Can I presume to refer you to @Courageous current SS Fushimi Maru build.
-
You might want to look at EBMA's paint stands as well, I've got a set and they work very well. Hope this helps.

The first version of the Drawing Board was not considered to be a success - what did they go back to to improve it ?

Additional information on Fighter Control, here.

It looks excellent now it is wearing a coat of paint and is an interesting example of "form following function" when your imagination is allowed free reign to ignore annoying minor details like aerodynamics. No - it doesn't look bad: it's simply the finish of your ship's power plants.

Sorry to hear your news Nick. Another suggestion: get a packet of Silica Desiccant Gel sachets and put one or two in each bag to help absorb any residual moisture and protect against future flood damage.

who doesn't need an AT-AT

And one day in the near future you will probably be able to download some open source AI code for your homemade Labrador Dog sized AT-AT and he will be able to walk around the house all on his own under his own control. -
Fairmile 'D' MGB 660 : Atlantic Models 1/350
Richard E replied to Faraway's topic in Ready for Inspection - Maritime
Ahhhh - that makes sense. -
In the days of sailing ships many merchantmen would be armed so they had some degree of self-protection.

Fairmile 'D' MGB 660 : Atlantic Models 1/350

Echoing our learn'd friend's thoughts.... However the idea of presenting the boat in the top right hand corner of the base is very very effective - would you be able to show a picture of the whole display please ? -
Very simple but effective presentation - that looks "just about right"

For the Sprue Clippers I'd suggest Stedi - I picked up a pair of their single edge clippers in the summer which were within your budget and I'm more than happy with them.
