  1. Interesting work - with the natural metal base coat it's starting to look like something which Elon Musk would send to Mars (or beyond).
  2. No - rest assured that the possibility of a working light hadn't even considered crossing my mind
  3. Curious to see what it's going to look like with a coat of paint on. One suggestion if I may: could you fit a lighting array on the front of the body to illuminate the hands and their working area?
  4. An opportunity for a complete late night TV series (to be repeated at regular intervals) on an obscure Freeview/satellite channel. It actually looks a lot like the storage yard of a local garage !!
  5. As operated by the world's kit manufacturers and retailers to make sure we keep buying more and more of their products ?
  6. I think you may be right. I've had a look at my references and have found a picture of a USAF F-4E and it looks like the TER is attached to the pylon with two lugs and is supported by the sway braces which creates a very narrow gap between the body of the TER and the bottom of the pylon. Hope this helps.
  7. It might be a Modular Airborne FireFighting System carried by some US Air Force and ANG C-130s to allow them to operate as airborne firefighting tankers.
  8. Correct - it the airframe was delivered to the Fleet Air Arm on 17 October 1985.
  9. I won't guarantee it's a definitive list but the Modeldecal sheets which include options for the Harrier and Sea Harrier are: Harrier GR Mk.3 Sheet 46 - 233 OCU Sheet 74 - 1, 3, 4, 20 Squadrons and 233 OCU Sheet 78 - 3 and 4 Squadrons ("Matchcoat" grey and green overall test schemes) Sheet 80 - 1453 Flight (Falklands) Sheet 94 - 4 Squadron "special tail" scheme Sea Harrier FRS Mk.1 Sheet 65 - 899 NAS - EDSG and White scheme Sheet 66 - Operation Corporate/Falklands Campaign Sheet 67 - Operation Corporate/Falklands Campaign Sheet 70 - 800 NAS, 801 NAS and 899 NAS post Falklands schemes Sheet 71 - 809 NAS Falklands scheme Sheet 75 - 809 NAS (Aircraft Names)
  10. Hi Stratto Agreed, the Esci/Italeri first generation Harriers are excellent kits which sit comfortably alongside more modern kits, they do need a little bit of work to correct a couple of errors and omissions but there are a large number of builds on Britmodeller which should give you some inspiration. Alongside the kits, can I also point you towards Modeldecal's decal sheets as a source of alternative markings, although they have been out of production for some years I think Hannants may have some in stock and you should be able to find them on Ebay. Hope this helps.
  11. A very neat build Tom which is going to absorb a lot of Gunship Grey paint. That's not a dining table, it's the production line for the "Probert Large Aircraft Corporation"....
  12. That's very neat scratch-building Wiesiek, the welding torch looks very effective.
  13. Have to agree with my learn'd colleagues - a well finished model and excellent photography, the second (night time) shot is first rate.
