Was just wondering - what was the last combat aircraft or civilian airliner that was not fully computerized? Looking back, there must have been an aircraft that was the last, that could fly "on its own". just a pilot, the engine and an airframe (roughly speaking) what we could call analog, or classic manual flying?? I know it happened over time, but anyway, any candidates that spring to mind?
I've been wondering since I heard the theory that a modern fighter plane would crash if you turned off all the computers because it is too unstable for manual flying at the speeds it can do. True?
