  1. Interesting project and nice work on the windscreen. Out of interest, I'll be visiting Grostenquin next week.
  2. It's been a while since I looked at it, but IIRC it seems an inner shell isn't being created when I use this method and importing it into 3D Builder - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rhyf_JttQEY This seemed to work ok when doing the engine loops for the Orville I'm doing in 1/1400, though it created a blocked area with hollow inner/outer skin for the engine grill area I had cut out to be printed separately in clear. I'm not using the one from Thingiverse, I had found a highly detailed .obj file one, like with the Orville. And thinking on it, that's probably the problem, it being not watertight or something.
  3. Could anyone that is familiar with Meshmixer be able to help please? I'm trying to get a solid 3D file of the USS Equinox sectioned ready for printing with the "hollow" feature but keep ending up failing. I started with the engine nacelles, wanting to split them to top and bottom (like here with the unobtainium Delta Q kit - https://resinilluminati.com/showthread.php?t=14671 ) with the top half split front and back so I can print the parts with the bussard collectors and grills in clear resin, and of course hollow with about 2 or 3mm wall thickness so I can fit the electronics. It worked well before, when I printed custom 1/1000 TOS nacelles hollow to save on resin. If it helps, I can share some of my working-on files. Mike
  4. Great news on these, but something I haven't seen mentioned, are the decals the same as in the original kits or have they been revised? Particularly if ones have been done for the tiny vehicles in the TB2 pod bay set.

    Nozzle wrench

Thanks for the tip easyAI, that did the trick and back in business now Paul, it's the same second-hand brush I showed you at Smallspace. I changed it to a 0.3mm nozzle and it seems to work ok now. I'll try and get the hang of it and probably upgrade to the recommended H&S one.

    Nozzle wrench

I've mislaid the wrench used to change the different size nozzles on my cheapo airbrush, anyone know of a suitable replacement I can use? I'm going to try and have a look in Wickes tomorrow, but not holding out much hope.

    Tonda GAZ-63

After getting sniped out of a Tonda 1/35 vac form GAZ-63 RAL radio truck over on the 'Bay, I was wondering if anybody here had info on the kit, as after numerous Google searches I have found nothing, not even anybody selling the thing I'm mainly looking for info on what the radio cab interior is like, as I have an ambulance kit made by them that has a nice one. Also, a bit unrelated, but I'm having problems signing up on Missing-Lynx. The network54 account is set up fine, but when I apply to the forum, nothing happens and I get no reply. Can anyone advise? Thanks Mike
  8. I'll be bringing along my B5 Station and large scale NX-01. Was going to take my Perry Rhodan Marco Polo, but still haven't finished it....
  9. Really nice job, I especially like the weld texture. Just one thing, AFV got the turret radio wrong, it's a post war one from the '50s and is missing the dynamotor power supply.
  10. I should be able to bring my huge NX-01 along to this one. Is there a mains socket nearby the table, as it does look rather good lit up and flashing

    Panzer IV interior

Further research, as usual, has answered all my questions, and I plan to get the CMK sets. Mods, please feel free to delete this topic. Mike
  12. Hi all, I've started work on my Dragon Pz IV H Late version, just trying to decide which interior set to get, either the 3 CMK sets (which I've seen a good deal on) or Verlinden 2324 and 1534, or getting 2324 and trying to find the turret sprue from a Dragon earlier version. Have a few questions about the interior though - Which has the more accurate engine area, CMK or Verlinden? The area that has the most difference and which I can't find any photos on, are the filters(?) underneath the intake fans. I know that the Verlinden sets miss the drivers pedals, but do any of the sets do the pedal mechanism for the turret traverse? What was stored in the "shelving" areas in the left and right sponsons, either side of the turret? I only have low res photos of the Verlinden sets and no references and surprisingly, the CMK set omits these areas. Really wish Trumpeter would release a straightforward kit of the H or later, with their excellent interior and with mesh schurzen..... Thanks Mike
  13. Sorry for the bump, but I found a good method of replicating the camo stripes by using a dark green .01 architects felt pen.
