  1. Graham, Thank you! I saw that and hoped that some of the folks on Britmodeller would have some other suggestions for me. Thank you again, Al Keller
  2. Hello, I've been looking for this book to help with my Sea Hornet build but not found it so far. There is one available in Australia but the freight cost is very high. I wondered if any of you could suggest a source. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide! Al Keller
  3. Wow! Great pictures! Junchan: the 2nd and 3rd pictures show the brackets I referred to TBolt: the 1st picture showed the brackets DMC: # 14 and 16 show the brackets. I'll need to see how the brackets are located around the inside of the cowl/nose ring. Thank you very much for your help! That NA Hobbies is one that I haven't seen - a lot of good details. Thank you again, Al Keller
  4. Hello! That helps but the area I need to identify is inside the cowl / nose ring in front of the engine. Thank you,
  5. Hello, Thanks for responding! I've searched any site that had Bearcat pictures - looked at hundreds of pictures! There are a few that show small parts of the inside of the cowl ring. It looks like there are brackets on the cowl ring that are used to fasten the ring to its mount in front of the engine. It's difficult the determine how many of brackets are there, how they fasten to the ring and how they fasten the mount. Thanks again for your information - I really appreciate your taking time! Al Keller
  6. Hello! I'm looking for photos of the inside of the cowl ring of an F8F Bearcat. Possibly someone has taken pictures of the one at Duxford or??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Al Keller
  7. Hello everyone! Who makes the most accurate: 1. P-51A 2. P-51B 3. P-51D Thank you! Al Keller
  8. What an interesting video. Thanks for sharing. I guess that there will always be people who want to screw up a good thing. Unfortunately, part of the human gene pool I suppose. Al Keller
  9. Thanks again. I started shopping around last night. Your information really helps! Al Keller
  10. Thank you for all the input. This will help! Al Keller
  11. Hello everyone! I've been building in 1/48th and 1/32nd for longer than I want to remember!! At this point, I've decided that when it comes to the larger (usually 4 engine) aircraft, I should restrict myself to 1/72nd kits since they take up less room. But, I don't know a lot about which companies offer the most value for the money. I don't mind having to "work" on the model to get the best results but, I'd rather not re-create the wheel. Could you point me in the right direction please? Thank you very much!! Al Keller
  12. Thank you everyone. A lot to think about!! Al Keller
  13. Hello, Once again, I'd value your opinion. For a long time I've use a Paashe H airbrush with good luck. It is starting to act up so I'm looking at my options. I've heard good things about the Iwata airbrushes. What would you recommend I consider? I build aircraft in 1/72nd, 1/48th & 1/32nd and cars in 1/24th. Natural metal, fine camouflage schemes and glossy car finishes. Thank you for your guidance!! Al Keller
  14. Thank you for all your comments and suggestions. I will look at all the sights listed here and do more research. It sounds like there is no clear winner! Again, thank you, Al Keller
  15. Hello! There are many choices and I am hoping that the "experts" on this forum could rate the kits that are available. I'm looking for the most accurate kit. Thank you in advance for your comments and guidance, Al Keller
