  1. To Britmodellers, As you can see Photobucket has stopped showing my files as I haven't upgraded to a pro account. They should be available on the 1st, if not some serious editing is in order! Sorry for any inconvinience.
  2. Evening all! Next from me is Revell's Junkers Ju-290A-7. Possibly the biggest kit I am going to do for a while The box shots The kit contains 9 sprues, 8 plastic and 1 clear. All looking very crisp and free from flash. Only a few injector pin marks to sort out, nothing too major though. The clears are lovely, simple as  The decals. And finally, the Eduard mask. Used these before, wonderful items! A must for anyone who is a terrible masker e.g me! Will post some progress soon when I get some done. Hwyl Fawr, Tom
  3. Looks good! I got some pictures up close of Shiny Two, would they be of interest to you?
  4. Cheers jimbuna! Much appreciated! The final update on the Flanker, as she is complete. Far from my best job due to the wash, might just have to make an Su-35BM in later life..... Kit was a joy to build mostly, few iffy bits but a good fit allround. Here she is, let me know what you all think  Next up, I will keep a secret, but here are a couple of clues. 1) It is an aircraft that I have desired to build for a while, and I'm not sure anyone has done it on here. However, someone on UKR has done a WIP on it, albeit not the same version. 2) Could have been entered into a previous group build on here. 3) Many good things have been said about this kit. 4) It's going to be taking up quite a lot of space on my shelf when it is finished..... Get guessing! Hwyl Fawr! Tom.
  5. Evening all! Little progress on the Flanker. She has been given a grimey weathering, probably because my wash is a bit on the old side and is a bit stubborn to come off. The model has no panel lines visible on top after the painting and matting process., so it just doesn't show up on there. But it looks ok so I guess it will pass. Let me know what you think. Final assembly coming up, stay tuned. Hwyl Fawr!
  6. Evening all! After what seems an eternity due to issues with my paint, I finally have an update for you on the Flanker. Decals are on, and she is starting to look the part now! Decided I will wash her and fit her with a load of AAM's, as if it was in the Air Superiority role. C+C welcome.
  7. Looking good, but it's a T1 not a T2. The two seat was the first one to enter service, hence the T1 designation. Can I just ask, what are the weapons available in this kit?
  8. I would like to post an update but the Grey on the nose is being a pain, hasn't fully dried yet. Going to blast a couple of matt coats on it as it looks a bit shiny too. Decals should be on soon though, hopefully by Sunday....
  9. I will be happy with the result if it looks a similar resemblence Thanks for the help guys, been fantastic!
  10. I will be honest with this, I really want to do the Black and white Splinter Su-35 at some point. Also, would the aires exhausts for the SU-27 do for an early Su-35 or were they changed?
  11. Nice picture! Cheers for that, makes wonderful use! Can I ask when that pic was taken?
  12. Cheers guys Also Magman2 I see a problem with your picture of a Knight with Sword and Shield. Can you have a guess why you would never see that actually occur? Clue. Look at his hands...
  13. Update on things as they are on the Su-35. Firstly no more progress till Monday now, long weekend at Cousin's in Whitworth in store for me! The Flanker is almost fully painted, just need to do some of the metal on the underside and some touch ups and then it's decal time! Firstly the Yellow was painted. Next, the brown. First photo makes it look like the MI-24 Hind scheme from a couple of years ago, ideas coming to mind now..... Then it was time for the green. Then the grey for the RWR's and nose. Finally, the metal parts. Touch ups required here but no biggy! C+C Welcome, and Come on Wales at the 2011 Rugby World Cup!!!
  14. Might just have been me then :L You building an Su-33 then?
  15. Sorted the mess out, just needs a touch up on the paint now!
  16. That's how the instructions said to put it, I'm sure it's right, but I will take a look anyway! Is it meant to be the other way round? EDIT: Just seen your picture, on mobile at the moment so I couldn't see it at first. So Hasegawa may have told me to put it in the wrong place - (Expletive). I will have to see about correcting it if I can.

  18. Evening all! Update on things on the Su-35. Haven't done as much painting as I would have liked to due to various trips out and the cat giving birth tonight, so here's what has been done so far. The Grey on the bottom is complete and I shall do the yellow and hopefully the splinter camo tomorrow, leaving only the nose, Metal parts inc. engines and undercarriage bays left before decalling. C+C are very welcome!
  19. To be perfectly honest so far the only gripe I have had with the kit is the real tailplane assembly, needs a touch of filler to blend them in, but that's it. Any more and you WILL definately hear about it! After the horror fit of the Gripen it's a relief to be doing something that goes together like a dream!
  20. There's your answer! Cheers Ken, your on the ball again I see!
  21. Cheers guys! Much appreciated. Should aim to begin painting this weekend, so should start coming on quickly from now on.
  22. Evening all! Here is a project to get me back into the joys of modelling after the swine that is the Gripen made me have to take a wee break from it. It's still being done, albeit at a much slower pace... Here is something I have always wanted to do, an Su-35 Flanker. Using Hasegawa's Su-33 as a base, I will make the necessary modifications required to change it from Su-33 to Su-35 standard. The box shot. The sprues, 4 grey with the fuselage and wings of the aircraft on a separate piece in themselves and 1 clear ( With the customary Hasegawa seam line in the middle of the canopy ) I will be building aircraft 709 of the Russian Air Force, seen here on Airliners.net http://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia---Ai...3a18e46b1aad80a The decals are a mix of Hasegawa and Begemot, the stencil data is hasegawa and the version shall be Begemot. And I had to get a paint mask... I installed the cockpit and closed up the two halves a couple of days ago. I know this isn't the world's best painted cockpit, but it does look better in real life I promise you! Join was pretty good, much to a relief! The kit is going very well, fit is very good in most places, needed a touch of filler on the join of the tailplanes and to the top of the tail fins to blend in the modifications I made. All I have done is add a bit of plastic card to the top of the tails to square them off, added some Squadron green putty to blend it in and it looks great  Almost ready for paint, only got the intakes to assemble and the clear parts to paint, install top of instrument panel get the front canopy glued on and some work on the front and she will be ready for a daunting spray job  Here is as she is tonight. Pics taken off my mobile. C+C welcome
  23. Looks fantastic! Also anyone got 1:48 Scale Bricks to make a diorama for this!
  24. I am thinking of building Hasegawa's SU-33. What modifications would it need to build it to SU-35 standard e.g Remove Arrestor hook, keep wings unable to fold etc. Many thanks in advance.
