  1. Both these Typhoons are coming along nicely! I am tempted to do another 1:32 Tiffie, already got a 1:48 in the wings for until the end of this build as I don't want anyone distracted away from this! Keep it up!
  2. Damn that looks a nice Vulcan. Something about that shape, add Pixie Lott in a photoshoot with it and I think I have a new picture Keep up the good work, she's coming along well
  3. I used special wipes to clean the Vigilant motor glider when I was learning to fly one of them last year. Got my solo as well, which saved me from cleaning that day!
  4. Cheers Mike! Well it is from February 1945, and as Germany was being bombed daily, they may not have been too bothered about their planes being clean. That's how I see it!
  5. Cheers for the comment guys, much appreciated. Some more progress on the Junkers., on an up and down day. The up was that I have done a better job on the weathering than previous models, but down as my beloved Manchester United were thrashed at home by our bitter rivals Manchester City 6-1! Didn't play as a team, and switched off after 22 minutes. Seriously frustrated! She has been weathered and matted down, and I think it has come out rather well. Firstly I glossed her up ready for the wash, which was Flory Models Black wash, and also to protect the decals and seat them in. Next I applied the wash, which went on well on a gloss surface  After another gloss coat I painted the thick smoke stains from the engines and added some chipped paint on certain parts of the aircraft with a cocktail stick and aluminium paint. looks rather good with the wash and staining IMHO, but what do you all think? Next update might be the last one, not sure yet, still a LOOOONG way to go. Might take a couple of better pictures tomorrow, if you all would like? Hope you like. 6. Cheers It was done with a template, airbrush was still playing up, it's only a starter one so it can be forgiven! As it's late war, I might add some chipping as well as a wash to her to enhance the weathering.
  7. Morning all! Update on things on the big girl. She is mottled, probably not the best but hey ho, I had a go at it! She has also been glossed up and is awaiting her decals. Not long left now! Out tomorrow and Thursday so next update may be Friday. Hwyl Fawr!
  8. Cheers Green - Tamiya XF-26 Yellow - Tamiya XF-3 Brown - Humbrol 186 Red - Tamiya XF-7 Grey - Humbrol 147 HTH
  9. I'm glad it's not just us Welsh who are disgusted and furious about that injustice on the pitch, cost us the game and a place in history. Next game with Alain Rolland refereeing Wales, I'm sure he can look out. Smashing model, looks fantastic.
  10. Evening all. Update on things as promised. Been busy with the airbrush, and was hoping to do the mottling today but the airbrush is not making fuzzy lines, it's making fuzzy lines with droplets either side, meaning I now have to template the mottling and spray it like that. Would like a solution to the problem as it's driven me mad today. No progress until Saturday now, helping Dad at work tomorrow and Friday, so I hope for an update at the weekend. 11. Why dont you trim the fins off one ASRAAM, don't put any decals on it and paint it same colour as the other ASRAAM, stick them under the wings and have one tank on the bottom of the aircraft? Seems to be a standard load to RAF machines. They sometimes fly with 2 dummy AMRAAM's on the front 2 recesses, but not always. HTH
  12. Cheers for the comments guys, much appreciated! Another update on the 290. The major amount of assembly is complete, just needs masking before she's ready for a preshade and painting. Here are the pics. 13. I like them dirty! And as for the model, that is a cracking paint job! Well done, you should be pleased with that!
  14. Looking good! I have one of these to do myself, and ironically the same version! :L Nice standard to aim for!
  15. Another update for you all! She's coming along quickly, about halfway in the building instructions now, and the only gripe is round the engines, and that being that the two halves wouldn't fit properly. That was until I used Superglue to get those fit! And it is a good fit, much like the rest of the kit  Not long before I will be able to whack the paint on this thing! Which I hope to be good, as this may end up at Telford with the Typhoon. Should start on bases for these two as well come to think of it.... Pics from today. 16. If your going to do it in flight, you will have to get a 1:32 scale Typhoon Pilot for it, I'm positive Two Mikes Resin or Mastercasters do one Speaking of Two Mikes, have you thought about getting a new APU, Intake covers and inboard pylons for the kit? Makes a hell of an improvement, the old APU was just a sink in the plastic, the intakes are dreadful ( seam running through them, having said that Two Mikes might do seamless ones ) and the inboard weapons pylons are excellent. Just a thought that's all Decided which version your doing yet?
  17. Evening all! First update on the Junkers Ju-290. I have made good progress with the interior, which was nicely detailed. I have weathered here a little too much on the inside I think, but being a late war aircraft and able to stay up in the air for 20 hours at a time I'm taking that the years o wear and tear would make her interior look a bit like this! Looks good anyhow, and it was my first try, so I'm pretty happy with it. Fuselage is all buttoned up as well, though not as good a fit as I expected, but nothing major to worry about. Next up I will tackle the roof and the wings, which then won't leave me much to do before I can whack some paint on this  DSCF3698 by TomWales1, on Flickr DSCF3699 by TomWales1, on Flickr DSCF3700 by TomWales1, on Flickr DSCF3701 by TomWales1, on Flickr DSCF3702 by TomWales1, on Flickr C+C welcome  Hwyl Fawr!
  18. Simply wonderful, an excellent model! Looking forward to seeing this at Telford in November
  19. Hi Simon, welcome to Britmodeller! If you want assistance with this, I have done one of these myself, see here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.p...;hl=Eurofighter Looking forward to this, good luck!
  20. I am not doing the captured "Allles Kaputt" version, I'm doing the one based at Flensburg in 1945. Reason Is someone on UKAR has already done one in the AK Scheme, so I can't really do that one as it is on there already. As this one is also going on UKAR at the same time as on here, I don't think 2 AK's would go down well, being so close to each other and all. Nevertheless, I shall give it my best shot for all you modellers!
  21. Here are the pics that photobucket ignorantly blocked for no reason! Will start progress tomorrow, and I am looking forward to this very much! Will try to post some progress tomorrow if I can!
