  1. Ifyou mean VITALBOND then it's great stuff, and I haven't had any problems with it.
  2. Take a look at my Gripen, that's how shocking CMK can get! Some great progress here! Looking forward to seeing this one progress.
  3. Evening all! First of all, a very huge sorry for the delay in getting an update to this, been hectic lately up here. But I finally have an update for you all, although minimal, just to show this is still being done. I have managed to get on the first coat of upper surface grey to her, but some noticeable marks and areas for sanding have appeared, so first job will be to sand them down and get the top surface painted and post shaded before going onto the bottom surface. I would get more done tonight, but I'm off out with a few mates for a festive quiz night in one of the locals I will attempt to get some more done tomorrow, but with plumbers round, I can't see much getting done. Nevertheless, I shall strive on and attempt to get this to the same point as the Junkers so I can finish them together! Anyway, the pics. 4. Oh I won't hit you... But the boys I've sent round will! It's no problem, might come useful one day Good progress, looking forward to it being painted
  5. First of all, after the absolute travesty of abuse I have received on another forum regarding military aviation over my house recently, your comments to me have been very cheerful and welcoming, so thank you for that, you have my utmost respect! No they aren't, but that mistake is entirely my fault, I put CBU instead of CPU! The bombs in question for the RAF Typhoons are RAF 1,000lb/CPU-123b Laser-Guided Bombs. Handily, flightpath have them readily available! Yes I would do for them AMRAAM missiles as well. The Gripen is a challenge, the Tiffie won't be too bad!
  6. I would replace the GBU-24's in the kit with 4 flightpath CBU - something weapons, the quality is fantastic! Use the AMRAAM's and BVR is Beyond Visual Range e.g medium - long range missiles I should get in an update tomorrow, or Sunday. And cheers, I hope to make it a star model. And I'm going to go overboard with it! :L
  7. That's bang on! ( Excuse the pun :L ) I would go with that, though I would get more reference of them guided bombs, they look tricky to paint. And the German's don't have dummy Meteors yet, use AMRAAMs for the BVR weapons. She's looking a damn sight better than my Gripen, I shall have to challenge you and calum's builds when I eventually build my 1:48 Tiffie!
  8. Looking good work. Will be tackling an Anigrand Craftswork model soon, possibly the Sentinel and bonus kits one, or even a C-5
  9. Looking good, and AFAIK German Typhoons don't carry the litening pod. I may be wrong though.
  10. More 32 scale aircraft. Or a Hastings, with engines.
  11. Great stratching, looking very good! Kee posting, I shall be keeping a close eye on this!
  12. Now that's looking good! that looks spot on to me, well done!
  13. Revell's 3 tanks and 4 AMRAAM's will do for this, Meteor isn't available until 2012 at least. You will need to purchase 2 more ASRAAM's though, RAF Typhoons fly with 4 of them, and Revell only supply 2 OzMods do a set of 2, and apparently they are really good
  14. Looking good, referring to weapons what loadout you hoping for? Like Swing Role ( Air to Air and Air to Ground loadout together ) or just Air to Air?
  15. Smashing model! I have somewhat of a crush on the VC-10, such a marvellous aircraft, your model doesn't help....
  16. Not since Thursday, haven't had time. Might get a bit more done today
  17. Simply fantastic work! I will be scratchbuilding items for a model I have in mind soon, so this is excellent to see and learn from! About 8/11.....
  18. A bit of CC here. Your pre-shade is a little thick, doesn't look realistic. Also, your green is the wrong colour green, it looks more like Russian blue. It should be a dark green, like the green I used for my Junkers Ju-290. Nevertheless, your doing a good job on the build, nothing wrong with construction, but like I said the paint doesn't look right. If you need any more help, drop me a PM, I'll be glad to offer some assistance if I can. TTFN, Tom
  19. Where can I find 1:48 Modern RAF Pilots and also 1:48 RAF Groundcrew? Even FAA or Navy would be a help!
  20. I forgot to mention, I have also bought two GBU-10C Paveway II bombs and an Aim-9 Sidewinder set, both from Fligtpath, to use instead of the Taurus and Sidewinders I was going to use from my Revell Typhoon. Still unsure whether to use Meteor or AMRAAMs though, siding with meteors as they look fantastic on a Gripen...
  21. Evening all! Finally, 3 months later, some more progress on the Gripen! As well as finishing on the Ju-290, I'm doing this alongside to try and whittle down the stash, in preparation for the inevitable wallop my wallet will have to take next year! Apologies if the pictures are a little soft, lighting isn't great, but then again the model isn't exactly the Mona Lisa.....yet..... Recent progress has been on tidying joins and adding both photo etch and resin parts. I expect only a few more resin parts left to go before I sort the canopies, mask them, more filling and sanding before I can get on with the painting. Thinking of priming this one, will help me notice any imperfections before I start the paintjob. Still going to have the canopy open, my seat isn't too bad, and a bit of scratch building should make the back of the cockpit look a bit better than what it resembles now. 22. Great progress, looks really good! With reference to her carrying a RAPTOR Pod, she is still her scheme, and whilst at RAF Lossiemouth 3 years ago, I got some close up photos of her whilst having a walkaround of her ( sadly not a trip though ) Would you like me to send them to you? Regards
  23. She's a stunner Martin! Excellent job on one of my fav aircraft of all time!
