  1. Thank you lads Now, just a small camouflage scheme for the CBI jug I wish to build ....
  2. Hi all, as I've promised, here is the progress on next kit after the Mustang mk.III ..... I will use most of plastic parts straight of the box as they are more than excelent quality. The only resin stuff are Ultracast wheels, nothing else is necessary as tamiya did a really great job on this kit. But in the other hand, I've decided not to use any of Tamiya's decals as they wont look nice on NMF surface finish. Marking will be airbrushed with the help of Montex super mask and stencils applied from Hobby decal dry transfers sheet. I've finished cockpit so far and starting to work on engine assembly....hopefully,you'll see the next pictures soon. Thanks for looking
  3. Many thanks to all again....I hope my model is worth these forums and looking forward to see your comments in my next project at "In progress". Still not sure whether to start on Special hobby kit P-39Q Airacobra 1/32 or tamiya's P-47D Razorback 1/48. Will take a few days break and then take a decision...can't wait to start on another kit Rabspat: Aires pit fits generally very good to tamiya kit, just be carefull not to thin the fuselage sides. To make a perfect fit, just remove ribs and panels from fuselage sides and the glue resin parts in. If you thin the fuselage too much, you'll get a gap between wing root and fuselage. Nothing horrible but still annoing....And my opinion? Buy the Aires stuff, it's much better when compared to original plastic parts
  4. Thanks to all again....and regarding to my future plans,I'm going to build up the P-39Q Airacobra from Special hobby kit 1/32. Sure I'll post the progress to these forums but for now, I need to take a breath before going onto next kit. Building of this mustang took me more than 5 months of modelling and research so really need a break Selwyn: I've fixed the topic description, wasn't aware of this RAF squadron recognition style. I'm building US wwII planes mostly so got sticked to US style....will keep this in mind for the future
  5. Thanks to all for your nice comments....glad to see positive feedback to Rob C: I have filled panel lines with a solution of Abteilung dark grey oil color thinned by Mig thinner for washes. I reality, they do not look as dark but camera made the contrast a little bit sharper.
  6. Hi all, I'm new to these forums and would like to share a few pictures of my recently finished mustang mk.III .... tamiya kit need no introduction at all,fit together very well. The only thing I was unhappy with was the cockpit so decided to replace with Aires pit with correct wooden floor for Merlin powered mustang. Hope you gonna like it Cheers Ludek
