Great result Ray. It looks really good with the blue fin. -
Great work. I doubt we’ll see another of these built for a while!

Not really an armour fan but have to make an exception for this. Superb model, really love the camouflage. Well done!
-
Very nice model - love the finish and the weathering
-
Fantastic result and an inspiring build - makes me want to get back into vacforms (must be 20 years since I built one)

Another busy week but got some more paint onto the Seafire this weekend - dark sea grey on, gloss coated and ready for decals thanks for looking Z

1/72 Mil Mi-10. AModel kit, enjoyed building it although a few very brittle detailed parts became a bit tedious to deal with. Biggest model in my collection - good thing the rotor blades are removable, otherwise I'd have no room for it!- 37 replies

Calling this done. Efforts to make the last few external details from scratch didn't work out very well so I've decided to live without them - I may yet come back to it and have another go another time - but I'm pretty happy with this model without them. More photos in the gallery. thanks for looking Z

That's really, really nice. Well done!

Count me in, I've got plenty of options for this one.

Very nice Steve. Always thought those stars for Operation Torch (I think?) looked strange though!

As predicted, no modelling during the week this week. Not had quite as much time as I'd have liked this weekend either, but did get some paint onto the Seafire. I've decided to go with a dark slate grey/extra dark sea grey/sky scheme - painted the sky and the EDSG so far.
-
This weekend I've completed the airframe, masked, primed and started painting with some white on the rear fuselage for invasion stripes - I'm going with a late 1944 colour scheme from the Xtradecal set. Here it is, complete with a white fingerprint on the left wing!

Eduard/Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk.22
zebra replied to zebra's topic in Royal Air Force Centenary Groupbuild
As predicted, the bottom of the resin cockpit did foul the centre of the wing, but not too badly - after filing a bit off the wing fits quite well. I've now got most of the airframe together, the Airfix parts go together quite nicely - will be tempted to get another one when Airfix re-releases it this year. Here's how it looks tonight: -
Thanks Steve - yes I read about the wire just the other day, it'll have to go.

Very nice John. I like the colour scheme. Have to say I think an airliner should have a cheat line - too many these days don’t have them.
