Small update. Just back from the bench with the done tail fin. The first pics shows the attachment point of the fin. It was done using a ball mill bit in an electric motor tool. The fin itself got a piece of a halfround Evergreen stripe. The detail of the trim tab. Now is time for a beer. Cheers! -
Hi all, here is my next project. This will be the first part of several Hawker aircrafts. Even though i have the great Fisher Sea Fury, i decided to start with the cheeper Hobbycraft kit. There will be much scratch work, as well as some Resin bits from the Fisher kit. The first pic will give you an idea, how it will look like at the end... more or less... To be serious, i started by building up the fuselage. I left the cockpit off as it is far from good and bad! The canopy will be covered later with a canvas which i´ll try to make from putty. The spinner was glued together, sanded smooth and engraved. Some rivets were added as well using the MDC tool. A simple step was drilling out the exhaust pipes. This pic shows the light reworked tail rudder and the fited Fisher tail wheel yoke. close up That´s all for the moment. The next step is to detail the wheel well and fit in the brass LG legs from the Fisher kit. Please let me know what you think and stay tuned... Next update soon! Cheers, Chris

Hi Bob, thanks! Yes she is almost glued to the street. (if you want) But if you pull on the cable, she goes around the corners and makes big black stripes on the street... I just need a Acrapovic exhaust... Speed Triple... yeah, i like it too and it makes a really great sound... Cheers -

Thanks Erwin & Bob! Yours will turn up nicely too Bob!! I´m very sure. Keep us updated. Nico, funny you mentioned it. Over at my other forum, someone said the same. Here is how i painted the bird. The body should be painted with Model Master 2077 Light Grey as per instructions. I didn´t had access to Model Master colors, so i mixed up the new Revell acrylics 79 greyish blue (60%) and 05 white (40%). As that was a little dark, i oversprayed the complete model with Gunze RLM 76 very thin, just to lighten up the paintwork. That´s all The shiny effect comes from FUTURE which is oversprayed by a semi gloss varnish. Weathering was done using the Tamiya Weathering Powders. They are really great! Cheers, Chris
-
Wow, that was fast! Thanks everyone for the kind words!! Nico, which greyish alu do you mean? The bird is painted in grey, it meight be looking like alu at some corners, but that is, i think, the semi glss varnish. It actually should be grey Thanks much agian mates, Chris

Update time... Now its time to get things cooked!! I´m glad to present you my 90% done Pfalz. All i have to do now, is to wait for some parts which were painted with oils. That takes so fu***** long to dry! But then i can attach the upper wing, add some wires between both wings and then it´s done Here are the pics. As always i´m open for some constructive comments or hints. next pics... The wash was done using the great ProModeller wash Dark. Thanks a lot for this Phil!! last four... Hope you like it. Please let me know what you think. Cheers mates, Chris
