  1. That's a magnificent Hurricane and raising the bar yet again. Well done Tony.
  2. I'm so glad that the pilot is safe. Such a shame that another Spitfire has crashed, but as much as I love the Spitfire, it is only a piece of metal and can be repaired.
  3. Fantastic work so far and very inspirational. The old Bison had a strange beauty about it, for me anyway.
  4. I like that a lot. It's beautifully finished and weathered. Well done indeed.
  5. Lovely work as ever. You can never have enough Spitfires Tony, just keep them comming!!!!!!!!
  6. Welcome to BM Andy. That's a fantastic job for your first model. What a great way to start your modelling career. You'll soon find this hobby, relaxing*, enjoyable*,interesting*, frustrating*, obsessive*. *Delete as applicable. Cheers.
  7. What a stunning diorama. It's got the lot, a beautifully finished model in a really convincing setting. I love the water effect. Well done.
  8. Lovely job Ray. It's so nice to see the old Contrail kits make an apearance. I've got a real soft spot for these old flying boats. Well done.
  9. Low contrast hints to TSS indeed Edit: Tho the demarcation line hints to that this is a different AC Or were the colour photos reouched to remove the codes? Sorry I dropped the laptop before I finished. I think that this is a different aircraft. The B&W image seems to wear a different canouflage pattern carries a Wing Commanders rank pennant, whereas the coIour image carries the pennant of an Air Vice Marshal. I hope this helps.
  10. I think your Sea Vixen is one of the best ones I've seen. She looks great alongside the Javelin.
  11. Hi Mike, The lunchtime news said that he's still in hospital and critical.
  12. Hi Rob,That sort of information should be passed straight on to the AAIB. You can access them via www.gov.uk/government/aaib Rob, Please ignore my post and use the information in Sam's post. Good luck.
  13. I would have posted this earlier, but I had to temper my feelings otherwise I think I would have been asked to leave BM. I made the mistake of switching on the BBC breakfast news this morning. At around 07:10 they introduced their "aviation expert", a Mr Hair, who writes for one of the airliner magazines and who happened to be at the event when the accident happened. During his five minutes of fame, he offered his "expertise" on the crowds at displays wanting to see "stunts and barrel rolls" at air displays. However the part of his interview that I found really offensive was when they were discussing the enforced road closures at the time. His comment was "Well I got a nice sun tan while I was waiting to get out". Please accept my apologies for this rant, but he really did make my water boil this morning.
  14. So very very sad. My condolences to everyone involved and affected.
  15. That's a lovely Wessex you've built there. Well done.
  16. It could be insufficiently mixed or just simple colour blindness. When requesting help from the members of this site, it may pay to moderate the language. The members here are very friendly bunch and many go out of their way to help others, but bad language isn't tolerated as there may be younger members viewing the forum topics.
  17. Wow Andrew! I must admit, What Ifs are not my thing, but Spitfires are and they are all truly stunning. Beautifully built and finished,
  18. I do like a good Spitfire. A job very well done with this one I think.
  19. That's a classic example of what can be done with an old kit, using skill and patience. It really is something special.
  20. Don't worry, you're amongst friends here. What a cracking job you've done on those stripes.
  21. What a brilliantly thoughtout diorama. I really like that. I hope it's not too corny to say it's "cool".
  22. Really, really nice. Excellent workmanship.
  23. As first posts go, this one will be hard to beat. The finish of every element is superb. This certainly fits into my "I wish I could do that" category. Well done and welcome.
