  1. Impressive progress with this one Peter. I can't wait to see the finished model.
  2. You've done a grand job with this one. It's lovely to see a big multi piston engined aeroplane in British civil markings. Well done.
  3. A Spitfire XVI in 1/24 scale and a Spitfire F24 also in 1/24 would be very nice.
  4. I've tried clear PVA glue from Hobbycraft and it worked ok for me. Granted it's not as strong as some more specialised adhesives on the market, but it does work. HTH, Chris
  5. That's a major surgical job on the wings! What a great start. Good luck with the rest of the project. Chris.
  6. Imagine having yo explain that yo SWMBO!
  7. What a fantastic subject, I will certainly be onboard with this one Peter. That's a good start, so far. Time do dig out my old "Boys Own Book of Superlatives", I've a feeling that I may need it.
  8. I too am patiently awaiting the release of this kit. I'm a little surprised that Frrom have elected to present the bomb doors as raised detail and not flush as displayed in the available period photographs. I would though, hazard a guess that the actual doors would not have been perfectly flush. I will be ordering a couple of these kits when they are released and in the words of Baldrick, I have a cunning plan. I'm sure that there are many more competent modellers than myself who will come forward with some very technical and well engineered remedies for this problem. But being a simple soul, my plan will be to deepen the individual doors with a sharp, fine scriber and then sand down the doors flush with the wing rest of the wing surface, leaving, hopefully, a set of flush, finely engraved doors. This could go horribly wrong, but............. Chris.
  9. When it comes to your Jaguars, both the twin and single seat variants, the available kits aren't exactly festooned with cockpit details. Neither are the airframes come to think of it. Anyway I'm voting for a 3D printed young Fritag climbing into the cockpit for his first Jaguar solo🙂
  10. Congratulations Steve. All of your awards were well deserved. The WIP's for all have been thoroughly inspirational, especially for modellers such as myself, with a real soft spot for RAF training aircraft. Well done Sir.
  11. Now that's a conversion I haven't seen in a long time. Well done David, it looks great.
  12. Ask him if he would consider writing them a "Cease and Desist" letter would be appropriate. A Cease and Desist Letter is a formal letter you send to an individual or organisation to demand that they stop engaging in a specific activity that infringes on your legal rights. It warns the recipient you’ll take legal action if they don’t comply. Cease and Desist Letters are often used in cases when intellectual property is misused, such as trade mark and copyright infringement, but can also be used in cases of harassment, defamation, or other forms of unlawful conduct. Sending Cease and Desist Letters is most useful when immediate legal action is not necessary or desirable. Instead, it’s a cost-effective and efficient way to assert your legal rights and seek a resolution to the dispute without resorting to litigation. HTH, Chris.
  13. What a wonderful collection. That's a lot of dedicated work on display. Thanks for sharing them. Chris.
  14. Given it's history within your collection, it would be such a shame to sell it on. A definite candidate for a refurbishment job maybe? Using the skills that you've no doubt developed over the years, some fresh paint and a colourful set of markings could make this a real little showstopper. I've always had a soft spot for the old Airfix Hawker Hart, which together with the Demon, Sopwith Pup, Bristol Bulldog and Beagle Basset have always been some of my favourite kits.
  15. It was designed by Tom Otto von Heinz. I know, 🧥
  16. Beautiful little Tiger, certainly highlighted by the dayglo markings. I thoroughly agree about the Model Art markings. I've used them numerous times over the years without any issues.

    Getting married!

Congratulations to you both. I hope you have a wonderful day. You've made a superb job of the ring box. Chris
  18. This is great news, I've been hoping that Airfix would re-release this one for a while now. I like the idea of the Vintage series and I'm quietly confident that they will release the Short Skyvan in the not too distant future.
  19. Mike, I had an email recently from Glenn at Blackbird Models, letting me know that the Avro Manchester and Lincoln conversion kits are being readied for re-release at Telford this year👍
  20. Have you tried Jammydog masking tape? They do tapes from 0.5 to 10mm. Very flexible and fairly low tack. HTH. Chris.
  21. I really like that. It's quite an attractive little aeroplane and has the nostalgia of the 1930's stamped all over it. I missed this particular issue, but I'm sure I've got the old Aeroclub vacform in the stash somewhere. It may well have to be found in the not too distant future.
  22. That looks fantastic Neil. The detail is absolutely stunning. I'm planning to get 2 or 3 of these to cover the various paint schemes for some planned dioramas. Will it be hitting the shelves soon? Chris.
