1/72 Airfix Bristol F2B Brisfit
cngaero replied to gamevender's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
What a fantastic example of the old Airfix F2B, handled with lots of TLC. That's got to be the best looking Brisfit around. It's certainly a very inspiring scheme. Chris -

That's a great find Troy, thanks for sharing it. Chris. -
I thoroughly agree about the Airfix Bulldog being a lovely little kit. It's always been one of my favourites. You've done a superb job with this one.

Many thanks, they'll be very useful indeed.

For me and in no particular order, apart from the Hunter F1 being first, the Spitfire XVI being second, the Mirage 2000 third and the Mirage III fourth 🙂

That's great news about the funding. I read an interesting article about the museum trying to involve Guy Martin in the restoration. I'd like to see that happen. https://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/24186199.solway-aviation-museum-calls-guy-martin-cover-work/ -

Well done Philip, yet another well researched and superbly built aeroplane of the "Royal Northumbrian Air Force". This is a fascinating theme for me, keep them coming.- 6 replies

That is seriously good. If mine turns out to be half as good, I'll be a very happy bunny. Thank you for the inspiration. Chris.

The work on the floats and struts is absolutely stunning. This is an absolute privilege to watch. Not long now until you work your magic on the 1/18 scale Handley Page H.P 42! Go on, you know you want to 😄.

British Airways Fairey Rotodyne! Red Tail Delight!
cngaero replied to woody37's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
This is coming along very nicely Neil. Regarding the weight issue, to save space and be as unobtrusive as possible, I've been using self adhesive 5g and 10g weights used for weighing down Hornby rolling stock and cycle wheels. They're quite reasonable on Amazon and Ebay. I recently used some for balancing my Airfix Heron and they worked a treat. Keep up the good work. -

Sanger/ Contrail 1:72 Fairey IIIF vacform
cngaero replied to Jonners's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
This is another fine example of the old modellers equation of: Vacuform + Skill × Time +TLC = Showstopper. Well done Jonners, your Fairey IIIF is a beauty. Chris. -

Short Singapore III Contrail vacu kit 1/72
cngaero replied to kalle's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Beautiful build indeed and not something that you see every day. I love these old Contrail kits and still have many of them still in the stash. Granted, some were very basic kits, but they filled a huge gap in the British golden era of aviation. My New Year has just got off to a great start. Chris. -
Happy New Year to one and all here on Britmodeller. I hope 2024 is good to you all. Chris 🎉🎇🎆
