French FT-17 tank, by Meng 1/35 'Le Tigre'

Looking good. I’m building the version with the full interior. Really enjoying it. Are you still after the le Tigre decals? Mine will be going spare as I am not building that option. -

1/24 Hellcat NF Mk II, 892 NAS, 1945 *Finished!*

Wow, love the cockpit. The placards really bring it life. -
French early tanks do have a certain je nais se quois about them. Having decided it was to hot to airbrush by Blenheim for the Bristol Aircraft GB, I decided to make a start on this. I printed a copy of the instruction off Scalemates as the colour callouts refer to Vallejo which makes up the majority of my paint, the instruction with the kit refer to Meng/AK colours. Made a start on the engine.

That is a difficult question, but helped the afternoon pass whilst following the F1, golf, cycling and cricket. My entry is Meng's 1/35 Renault FT-17 Light Tank (Cast Turret). Plan is to finish it as a tank that saw service in 1940, to sit along side my Tamiya B1. Looks a cracking little kit, includes a interior & engine.

Found a couple of willing volunteers from the spares to crew the Blenheim. Wanted some that looked a bit more modern than the Airfix provided pilot. Engines added and a coat of primer applied.

A great set of photos, better than the ones I took. Was nice to be at an air show again. Enjoyed the Sea King, amazing to think that are now privately operated ‘warbirds’! My personal favourite was the DH.88, first time I have seen that flying. A couple of stalls had kits on, the only proper model trader was Kit Krazy.

"Bug-smashers" Post WWII - 18 and counting

Sure I can find something in the stash that fits, so count me in. -
Took the chance whilst the football was on TV to work on the display stand. Used some Albion Alloy Slide Pack, inserted a length on 3mm tube in to the bomb bay, using some plasticard to build up around it to provide some additional support. I think it produces a nice simple stand. Also makes it easy to swap models between stands it I want to change my display around.

I did a bit of a hybrid approach between your method and the instructions. I assemble the cockpit halves and then attached the front to the rear and then installed the wings. Did a lot of dry fitting before I was confident I could make it work.

Having finished om entries in the 'Anything But Injection' and 'Less Than a Tenner' I am able to make a start on this. Assembled some aftermarket to help. In a departure from the norm, i made a start with the wings. As I am build it in flight, I painted and installed the raise undercarriage. Normality then returned and I made a start on the cockpit. I think the Yahu IP is a big improvement over the kit supplied decal.

Made good progress over the last week. Assemble the propeller using the supplied jig. It was only at this point, I spotted my mistake, I had got the colours on the spinner the wrong way round, should be blue with white stripes. Doh! Repainted blue and used strips of white decal. Blue decal strip would also be used to replicate the stripping on the tail. I left the drop tanks off, as they fouled the undercarriage doors when fitted. SO now calling this finished. A thoroughly enjoyable group build. Saw me complete 4 resin kits witch I am guessing would have sat in the stash without this prompt. Thanks.

Spent the day listening to the cricket and the football whilst applying the finishing touches. A nice kit, very enjoyable build. That's that last of my 3 entries completed. Thoroughly enjoyed this GB, nice to go back to basic and build a small kit. Thanks
