  1. Fantastic build; usage of two scales in one dio... incredible!
  2. WOW, this is an amazing update. I really love the lights!
  3. I really love that build! Even the grey looks good, which is not that easy... thanks for showing
  4. I will take my time for sure! Will take at least 4-6 weeks until my desk is ready to start with a new build/project. Scale will be definately 1:144, but not sure about material yet. I have ordered the MLP and crawler from David Maier, do have Revell's 4911 at home, but a lot of the structure is only nice on a first look. So will it be paper, plastic, a mix like in your case? Time will tell... At this point I would say paper as reference, plastic as material... So similar to this awsome build here.
  5. Hello, roma847 has infected me with the complete Crawler, MLP, Launch Tower and Space Shuttle thing. That's why I was looking around and found your amazing build. What you have shown so far is quite an inspiring work. So I am able to blame now you and roma847 in case my wife is asking me why I spend so much time building Launch Pad 39A in the future. I really love all your details that you have added, and can't wait to see more pictures of your crawler. Thanks for sharing your build with us. Alex
  6. Very special aircraft and it looks good. Even used more or less one color, it still looks really interessting. Maybe I had used a different payload, but that still works.
  7. Nice job! I like that Osprey, but I am more into colorful Yets and Helicopters. Still, your skills are great and it looks almost real.
  8. WOW, that is a very nice outstanding Hornet!!! Nice schema, love it. Paint is superb.
  9. That looks really great! Can't wait to see more
  10. I really like your Phantom. The painting is great, weapon selection is outstanding in my opinion! Great job, thanks for showing!
  11. That is a very nice build so far. If my table wouldn't be so full, I would have started the build a while ago. Your Marine choice... Nothing to add, perfect! Looking forward to see more
  12. Hello, like the pink on that one as it looks really good. But I realized that neither the guns, nor the anti-collision lights had been in place? Also something that you might want to add is the "glare shield" in front of the cockpit? It is just a bit black you need to add. Not a lot Tonkas had those as far as I am aware of, but yours did. One last addition in case you are planing doing another one. Dessert pink was painted over the normal camouflage, so it looks mostly green if the pink is gone, but not silver. It doesn't look wrong on your plane, and it should be taken only as a hint... BECAUSE I STILL LIKE YOUR TONKA!!!!
  13. Tornado Gr.1, ZA559 "MacRobert's Reply" Hello all, time for the next Rollout I guess... History for "MacRobert's Reply" This name was given to a famous World War II, Royal Air Force aircraft, a Short Stirling bomber, serial N6086 operated by No. 15 Squadron RAF. The aircraft was paid for by a generous £25,000 donation from Lady Rachel Workman MacRobert, and was named 'MacRobert's Reply' in commemoration of her three sons, all of whom were killed whilst serving with the RAF. The eldest son Alasdair died in a flying accident in 1938, whilst Roderic and Iain were both killed in action during 1941. A second Short Stirling, serial W7531, was also named 'MacRobert's Reply' after the first aircraft N6086 was written off in an accident Short Stirling N6086 was the first aircraft to bear the name 'MacRobert's Reply' and was handed over to her crew at RAF Wyton on October 10, 1941, with Lady MacRobert attending the naming ceremony. The aircraft had the MacRobert coat of arms painted on to its nose, and was given the code LS-F, LS being the squadron code and the last letter identifying the aircraft as "F for Freddie", a designation all subsequent aircraft given the name 'MacRobert's Reply' have used. The aircraft flew twelve missions between October 1941 and January 1942, before swinging on take off and colliding with a damaged Spitfire at RAF Peterhead, on 7 February 1942. W7531 was the second Short Stirling to carry the name 'MacRobert's Reply'. It was not officially named 'MacRobert's Reply', until after entering service in March 1942. The aircraft was lost during a minelaying raid against the Danish Sound in May 1942, after it was brought down by anti-aircraft fire and crashed into Gals Klint Forest, near the town of Middelfart. Only one member of the crew, Donald Jeffs, survived the crash. Since the Second World War, three other aircraft serving with No. 15 Squadron have carried the name 'MacRobert's Reply', and borne the MacRobert family crest; a Blackburn Buccaneer and two Panavia Tornados. Wiki: MacRobert baronets One of those aircrafts is ZA559! Model As usual it is the Revell Kit in Scale 1/72, Decals are from Mark 1 Production. Except the roundels the decals are looking great. I habe painted the Tonka with Revell Aqua Colours and mixed them a bit. I added a bit blue, of course "Lufthansa Blue" (need to have that in Germany ) and a bit of black as it did not looked the same as the normal camouflage grey. I had no issues at all with the kit or the decals. Because I haven't seen a lot of pictures where this Tonka was carrying weapons, except Droptanks, I left them in my storage. And now the pictures! Hope you like it, waiting for comments
  14. 45+88 "100.000 flight hours JaboG33" Hello and here we go with another Rollout. History During September 1985 JaboG33 switched Aircrafts from F-104 Starfighter to Panavia Tornado. During the next 14 years the Unit managed to fly 100.000 hours on that type. So the unit decided to paint one aircraft with a special scheme. In September 1999 they presented the Tornado with the Number 45+88 to the public. As far as my research goes this aircraft never carried any weapons/pylons while painted in that scheme. Model It is the Revell basic kit, as usual for me. The complete Kit was painted with Tamiya X-1 Black. After that the great Syhart Decals had been applied to the Tornado. One small problem that I had was removing the masking tape after I painted the wheel bays. The Decal at the bottom pealed off a little bit, but I managed to save the day by re-paint most of the decal onto the Tonka. And now the pictures of this beauty! More Tornados can be found on my website http://www.hillstar.de
