  6. The taiwanise book "Chinese Air Force in Action - series 1" has an article about the B-26 too. Unfortunately in mandarin. The drawing shows a blue Invader with comments to numbers 822, 862, 844, 888. Pictures shown an aircraft closely, probable in black and another far from the camera too. modelldoc
  7. My source is the Taiwanese book: "Military Aiecraft in the Chinese Civil War 1945 ~ 1955. There is no picture but a drawing for a all blue B-26 with the tail number "822". A chinese white sun marking is on the fuselage . modelldoc
  8. That's nice, I have heard, thar KP makes only 3 - to 500 kits per version. (It's a rumour.) modelldoc
  9. The Invader was assigned to Special Task Team in March 1954 and to the Techenique Rearching Team. The Invaders had their armaments stripped and bombbay converted to load propaganda leaflets for short range missions against Communist China. Invaders were retited from CAF'S service in March 1959. The planes are all in mid blue overall with white numbers on the fin. modelldoc
  10. The Heller is so bad, the Revell is in parts a little bit tricky, here is the Heller, in different markings: https://www.flickr.com/photos/21603181@N08/7387057478/in/dateposted/ modelldoc
  11. I can' t answer the question, but I had made a Air Traffic Control truck from the Airfix Matador in 1:76. The body is partly scratch build, and some parts from the Matchbox Leyland Retriver. The belvedere is from an AVD kit, an ATC on ZiL-130. The checkerboard was easy, it is a decal from the F-89 from Revell. https://www.flickr.com/photos/21603181@N08/53312303449/in/dateposted/ modelldoc
  12. Whar for a question, The Airfix new mold: https://www.flickr.com/photos/21603181@N08/16603003083/in/dateposted/ and than the old Airfix kit: https://www.flickr.com/photos/21603181@N08/16051097888/in/dateposted/ modelldoc
  13. Can't remenber a Vampire in Manchester with Swiss markings, but in Southampton is one (with Swiss markings) https://www.solentsky.org/exhibitions modelldoc
  14. Here is the first item for Revell 2024. Not a new mould, an old F-16 in 1:32: https://hyperscale.com/2023/gallery/f16a32dw_1.htm modelldoc
  15. No, it's from Russia (with love?) https://www.scalemates.com/brands/zvezda--185 modelldoc
  16. In the situation at the moment, I think NO. Revell has cancelled all business relations with Zvezda since the war against the Ukraine started. So the Yak-130 was never realised by Revell in 2022 and when Zvezda create a new Tu-95, it is the other sign for no business relations betwen Revell and Zvezda. modelldoc
  17. Here the Academy: https://www.flickr.com/photos/21603181@N08/15542919145/in/dateposted/ and here one of the Roden collection: https://www.flickr.com/photos/21603181@N08/49278557322/in/dateposted/ modelldoc

  19. The old FROG / NOVO aso was not bad https://www.scalemates.com/kits/frog-f207-whitley-long-range-bomber--162160 or here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/21603181@N08/16300674482/in/dateposted/ modelldoc
  20. Where are the Whitleys? Good question, one in my stash and the other in the showcase: https://www.flickr.com/photos/21603181@N08/23077554954/in/dateposted/ modelldoc
  21. I have also search a little bit. Here my results. The first commend: The Korean Air War by Robert F. Dorr and Warren Thompson, Motorbooks International 1994, page 111: " Already a veteran of Korean fighting with rhe USAF and USMC (as the HRS-1) and even with the CIA, the H-19 took on responsibility for combat search and rescue." And here my second result, much more information: Air War over Korea by Larry Davies, squadron/signal publications 1982, page 83, 85: "Air Rescue Service... In February 1952 the Cho-do detatchment received brand new Sikorsky H-19. ... The first H-19s to arrive at Cho-do even had floats to land on the water...." and now: " 3rd RSq H-19s also transported CIA agents in and out of North Korea - and other places." A short and clear statement. Thanks to Sabrejet for support. modelldoc
  22. Surprise: I checked all my material about the Sikorsky S-55 / H-19 and than I found this : The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Aircraft was a weekly partwork magazine by Aerospace Publishing (an imprint of Orbis Publishing) which was published in the United Kingdom (and sold in other countries too) during the early 1980s. There a re lot of articles about aircrafts and helicopters. In the article about the Sikorsky S-55 / H-19 I read: " Interestingly, one of these YH-19 troop test helicopters made its way to Korea and flew secret missions for the CIA in black paint with no external markings." The article was published many years before we know what is "Internet" A supposition comes true. modelldoc
  23. On the first point, I agree with you, the helicopter was used by the 3rd Rescue Squadron, on the second, there were a lot of activities from the CIA, here you can find some: https://arsof-history.org/articles/v9n1_cia_paramilitary_page_1.html On the other hand, the 581st Air Resupply and Comms Squadron (13th AF, Pacific) flew a lot of night operations, especially clandestine missions over Manchuria. modelldoc
