  3. Fairy Power Spray It's like a new airbrush
  4. Ah good-oh! I was watching this way back when. Glad it's back out for completion. I'll be watching with interest! Andre

Cheers Gary Mr £100 can keep on hoping then.. That wheeless Bone doesn't look too bad for £25
  6. Howdy all Has / is the 1/48 Revell Lancer been re-released? I'd really like one in my stash but am loathe to pay the £100 ebay prices (unless I have to). Some research shows they seem to be quite readily available in the States at around $60 (with different box art) , but nothing in the hobby stores here in the UK. Also, Revell seems to have it in their online catalogue. Can anybody shed some light on this? I tried searching the forum but came up with nothing, so forgive me if I'm covering a topic already covered. Andre
  7. I believe the biggest construction issue was mating the rear fuselage with the front fuselage. If I remember correctly, the kit instructions called for the upper and lower front fuselage to be joined, then the upper and lower rear fuselage, then those two completed bits to be joined. This apparently resulted in a major step that required some work to correct. I think modellers get around this issue by joining the upper front and rear bits to each other first, ditto for the lower sections and joining those two completed bits together. Hope that's correct and makes sense! I had one in the stash so did a bit of research but that was a while back.
  8. I'll be watching with interest!
  9. Thanks Rich and Mark I'm going to try soaking in thinners first, then the Tesco stuff if that doesn't work. Thanks for the suggestions! Andre
  10. Ok, so 've been an idiot When moving house a few months back I (for reasons of complete and utter laziness) packed up my modelling gear, including my Badger 200, without cleaning it. I had, in fact, left it attached to a pot of paint with the intention of emptying and cleaning it when unpacked in the new house. I didn't. I took a few months break from modelling due to the arrival of my baby daughter and completely forgot about the airbrush and it's suffering. I recently caught the modelling bug again and discovered said airbrush, covered with solid enamel paint. Is there any way to remove it? Is there a magic ingredient I could soak it in without damaging the soft parts of the brush? Any suggestions would be great! Andre
  11. Oh look - it's Raptorfox!
  12. Very nice! I remember being very pleased with myself the first time I used an airbrush too - such a huge improvement in so many ways over brush painting.
  13. Yep - done that too with an AH64. At the time I lived 3 floors up. It flew for quite a while before hitting the deck. I got some immediate satisfaction from that but soon felt remorse. Not the correct reaction but hey-ho, live and learn. Still building though
  14. Beautifully done! Pilot looks a bit vertically challenged.. Clearly didn't eat his sauerkraut as a kid. When I saw a 109 up close for the first time I was struck by how dinky it was.
  15. I couldn't.. Not a plane I'm hugely familiar with but learned a great deal about it while researching and specifically the wild weasel role my model performed. Huge man-vegetables (I can say that, can't I?) those crews had! Great build, Mish. I hope mine comes out half as good!
  16. Man, oh man... Crikey that's good! A masterful model of a beautiful aircraft So... What *is* next, Peri?
  17. It just keeps getting better.. Outstanding!
  18. Nicely done, Spad's lad! Lovely to see youngsters in the hobby.
  19. Crikey. That's quite something! The patience and attention to detail that scratch builders posess is something I can only dream of..
