  1. Saw it after I posted I like it immensely well done
  2. I think I may say a small Yahoo Yes that Bambi logo needs to be nearer the round window But I am quite chuffed with that Shall I send the white decal sheet back then? :) Then a big congratulations to you Chris This baby looks better each time you share a bit more, you have made this one really well considering the huge problems en route I am looking forwards to meeting Bambi soon
  3. Chris I think I will just hide here under the workbench for a while FWIW Hannants came through with the white film so if you need it we can work up another one
  4. Very good stuff here Chris N I C E And such bloody hard work, but I think it is well worth it mate
  5. Don't know if you've guessed I rather like this absolute perfection again b
  6. This is just great absolutely staggering detailing oh yeah!
  7. Yikes Nobby They (whoever!) didn't do the old mouldings any favours did they? I remember a model that whilst being inaccurate did at least capture the essence of the Defiant that was "catchable" The tail end these days is an utter disgrace, whoever decided to market it in that condition should be facing a short walk to a pockmarked brick wall Looks like there is fun to be had ahead Bill
  8. guess who ordered some more decal paper... and one of the two is to be white good luck
  9. Blimey Chris Now it's my turn to get nervous I hope you have added at least another coat of varnish to that, I am getting scared in case it separates and wastes your time . I hope (too) that you will add the decals over a glossy surface so the air bubbles don't show. (OK I know, the egg sucking demo is on another forum... I AM SCARED...) Engines looking far better now, soon look as if you could take up yourself.
  10. Chris you really are taming this beast The engine looks very good and I like yer determination mate Keep it up
  11. The guys are absolutely right this is a finished model and blooming well made too No need for adding black lines all over it, this trend to over-lining a model doesn't suit me at all Blimey some of them look more like a technical drawing than an aircraft Stick with yours as it is I love it (now where did I leave that Frog Lightning, this has given me an itch, thank you!) Bill
  12. The work on the elecktrickerals is tremendous I'm gobsmacked
  13. Looks great Nobby This will learn 'em Frog kits are as good a basic source for great modelling as any Hasajimileri kit (I've been a Frog-fan for many long years) Your workmanship however has put these models of yours into another category altogether Well done, this and your Shagbat are lovely Roll on the Defiant now...
  14. She really is looking the bee'ses kneeses That tail end trauma is well away in the past now, smashing and I love the paintwork's progress I don't seem to get that underpainting/shading thing right myself but this shows just how effective it can be Great stuff!
  15. Good news Chris standing by
  16. Wow Woody hasnt this been a worthwhile journey You have made a magnificent tribute to the wonderful Hallybag with this thanks again wow
  17. you dont like the green? It's a smashing colour, in fact it is a super model I think you have done another fine job with it (much as I like the green, I think you may be right ) The models look fabulous
  18. Your Bucc just gets more and more awesome major buggarups just get cast aside when you get started The new stuff looks fab too (I know it was a shame for the resin to let you down but it looks as if it has given you even more impetus to give us an outstanding model) Tremendous modelling sir, I salute you
  19. I dont think gobsmacked really describes my mind after seeing this I like the idea of making the wings by aerofoil section, but I wonder how you would fare if you took slices along the wing instead? Could the machine produce slices that way too? It is absolutely frightening too, with this you could make anything, literally Frightening and so very exciting It looks fabulous and I am still keeping on jogging along with you, here in the shadows of a brave new world phew
  20. outstanding one of the finest Lightning models I have ever seen brilliant
  21. Looks very nice to me and well done Airfix for their prompt response to your call I think I mght be tempted to add a coat of varnish (I use Microscale Liquid Decal Film for this) to the new ones too, just in case I love the JP5, never really considered the Tucano before but it really is a nice little aircraft Both on my "gotta do" list after seeing yours
  22. Thanks for that Vixen, saved for my infostash Always collecting Wessexy trivia
  23. M I L L I P U T put a skim inside the weaker area (if you can keep it outasight of course) before you attempt to glue it when it hardens it will support the weaker areas that want to move under stress As it hardens give the glueing a bit more work than usual It ought to be OK, just don't worry about the task too much
  24. Dead right Skii That does look like a fabulous paint for your fabulous model Altogether a brilliant build thanks bill Er lost PNVS turret? don't move it's near your left foot or mine Hope you sort that soon b
  25. What can I say? Blimey this is IMPRESSIVE lovely work How does the new wingtip look if you look at it from the same angle as that photo It might help set your mind at rest Great work anyway
