  1. I'm following with much interest too! My local airfield is home to a company building new Gnome rotaries so they've become even more of a fascination to me.
  2. We're lucky to have one each Vincent and Vildebeest in New Zealand, they certainly are decent-sized machines! I have this kit in the stash so I'll be following and taking notes.
  3. I volunteer on a P-40 restoration and several of the team use Fusion360 - we have a CNC machine and one of the team has a 3D printer for hobby use - and I've been increasingly curious to learn it. I'd love to build an Allison V1710 in a large scale and this is seriously inspirational stuff. But I know: baby steps!!!
  4. Simply beautiful work, Ian. It was a joy to follow this project and it brought a smile to my face to see it complete!
  5. A terrific review, thanks Mike! NZ203, which coincidentally is one of the decal options in this kit, hasn't flown since the late 1980s after an engine issue grounded it and it is unlikely to ever fly again.
  6. Sadly I'm on the wrong island to access mine until Christmas!
  7. What a stunning rendition, well done! The first Starfighter I ever saw (albeit in a museum) was a NASA bird so I approve. Gorgeous work all round!
  8. This is the first A6M8 build I've seen and it's terrific - seeing it with the original prototype is extra special. Well done!!
  9. I really like the Spiteful and Seafang and it's always a treat to see one built, especially to such a high standard. I've been umming and ahhing about one of these for a while and you may have just pushed me over the edge!
  10. Beautiful work Norbert! This Kiwi is very impressed!
  11. It's just as well I know so little about the A3D because I think it looks fantastic. Hear hear!!
  12. I'm pleased to see so many examples of this kit getting built, and to such a high standard! Bravo!
  13. Funny, I have one of those on the shelf too...very good call!
  14. T did indeed H 👍 I know you spend a lot of your time explaining these things for folks like me and I truly appreciate your effort and that you share your knowledge. I'm working on a student budget for the time being, but also am in no rush.
  15. Oh my...I don't really know my Phantoms but that is looking good!
  16. Paging @Troy Smith: are there any particular "howlers" with this Hurricane kit?
  17. I have to agree: Hopefully it's as simple a fix as some sanding as otherwise it looks like a great kit.
  18. A 1/48 Arrow with all these accoutrements would be a spectacular build. Given the size I'd be happy with one in 1/72 but I'm still excited to follow the project.
  19. Excellent to see it getting so close. I've yet to built a MikroMir kit but this is looking very, very attractive.
  20. As a kid I was fascinated by the Orao, so this is very exciting. It'll be neat to build and display one next to a Jaguar.
