  1. Hi John, I agree with you. I wanted to build the Academy 1/72 kit as a KW vehicle. Guess I'll have to try to fit the Heller's cab into the Academy's frame. Thanks anyway.
  2. One can be seen being towed by a closed-cab CCKW-352 at minute 2:50 of this youtube video. Unfortunately, it's too blurred to read the registration and bumper codes...
  3. Hi, I'm looking for pictures of closed-cab CCKW 353's during the Korean War. Can someone help? T.i.a. Pete57
  4. Great news and how about a canopy without the rear-view-mirror blister for Dragon's Meteor F.Mk. I? Regards Pete57
  5. Graham, Would it be one of the many lacquer 7102's?
  6. Thanks SafetyDad, useful info indeed. Pete57
  7. Hi SafetyDad, Could it be one of the RLM 79 Variants? And in your opinion, would this apply just to the NASM airframe, or could it be an Arado's approved practice, perhaps applied to the production from a given Werknummer on? Thanks for your input. Regards. Pete57
  8. The caption to a picture on page 69 of ARADO 234 BLITZ, by J.R.Smith and E.J.Creek, Monogram Monarch - 1, states " When NASM staff were working on the interior of the undercarriage stowage bay they found this unusual buff color ". I thought RLM 02 or un-painted were the only options, but the evidence shows otherwise. Can any Luftwaffe color expert cast some light? T.i.a.
  9. Great news and in the one, true scale
  10. Hi, I'm buying Eduard's FW190A-8 and planning to build it as W.Nr.734018, E8+BB of 1./NSGr. 9 in Villafranca, Italy, 1945. Is there a white, W.Nr. decal sheet of suitable size? T.i.a.

  12. Does anyone have details on the camera installation of the Israeli-modified Gloster Meteor T7's, used during Operation Kadesh? So far, all I have is the picture on page 49 of "Gloster Meteor" by IsraDecal Publications. Thanks in advance Pete57
  13. https://www.lfmodels.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5_73&products_id=3798 I'd be tempted...but Kora sells it on line at a whopping €66.00!

  15. I'd like to build "White 52" of the Israeli AF, the aircraft that started Operation Kadesh/Musketeer, by shooting down an Egyptian AF Il-14. Unfortunately the DP Casper "Musketeer & Kadesh, October 1956" sheet has only "White 50" and the Isra Decals sheet is next to impossible to find...
  16. Are the parts for the NF Mk 13 included in the NF Mk 11 kit? I don't have the kit yet, but looking at the instruction sheet on CMK's e-shop, the parts 8 and 10 could be the cockpit cooling intakes and the parts 2 and 5 could be the wider air intakes, and given that they are all four crossed out...

  18. Does anyone know the FS 595 equivalent of the medium grey used in the U.S. State Dept. aircraft, in the one-grey-wraparound scheme? Beech 1900D N85516 Beech 1900D N85516 UH-1H And is it the same grey their C-27J's were painted in? TIA Regards. Pete
  19. Hi 72modeller it helps and I have already downloaded the full MIL-STD-2161 in pdf. What I was referring to is just the color of the upper part of ALL the landing gear struts (I've since found out it applies to all the three members, not just the MLG). Check out the following links (F-35B) Wiki MLG Wiki NLG ...and compare the color of the same details in the F-35A... Wiki ...and F-35C rocketumbl.tumblr.com Pete
  20. I've been Google-image searching pic's of various details of the F-35B, in order to accurately build Italeri's 1/72 scale kit. I've noticed that, unlike the F-35A and F-35C, the F-35B's top portion of the main landing gear struts is painted what appears to be a medium/dark (metallic?) grey, instead of the customary gloss white. Can someone cast some light, i.e. FS color? TIA Pete
  21. Kari and Antti, thanks for the quick feedback. Best regards. Pete
  22. For the records, the TO 1-1-4 has been rescinded by the USAF several years ago (15-20, if memory serves me right), so recent/current color schemes are not covered. Best regards. Pete
  23. Antti, Slightly OT, do you happen to know if the Fouga Magister's were left natural metal or painted a silver varnish instead? TIA. Regards. Pete
