  1. That is good . l was planning to buy what was available currently but if an accurate model is coming ( hopefully with weapons bay ) then l will wait. hopefully there will be test shots soon to see Hacker
  2. The Russians always went with brute force in their aircraft. The Mig 25 and 31 are not exception to that. Just look at the size of those gas guzzling engines! hacker
  3. l built the Heller version years ago though not bad this one has to be way better Hacker
  4. Interestingly enough been debating the same thing myself. Buy or build. l thought of using a bathroom extraction fan but the high end ones. They have great suction and the more expensive one run quieter . l am not adverse to doing it DIY but then again sometime l feel like just buy one already done and get it over with. The Url for the fans is a good starting point at sorting it out. My thing is when making it would be how can l do it and make it compact enough so it will not eat up a lot of space when built Hacker
  5. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/TWC72032 More interested in this one. A Canadian modeler's most wanted. Hacker
  6. Hence why my bombers will remain in the 1/72 scale range as they will fit a shelve hacker
  7. For me it would be the wife busting into flames over something. Ok l am leaving now Hacker
  8. One thing l find lacking in all B-17 kits are the oxygen bottles right behind the cockpit seats. They are big and yellow and hard to miss. Probably you can not see them once closed up but to me it is important item Hacker
  9. l am taking a different route with mine. l happen to have a spare Hasegawa fuselage and it does fit. There is only a mm on either side to content with. People have pointed out that it is not accurate but far better then the one offered in the kit. hacker
  10. is there not a fuel truck also? separate kit l believe hacker
  11. nope other then the mentions after market the rest is scratchbuilt hacker
  12. Just to be mean hehehe l am showing the one l did. l sanded down the ribs as they were too bold and then masked the in between and gave it a few coats of Mr Surfacer 500 to replicate the rib tapes. l used Eduard vintage instruments for the panel, Barracuda resin camel seat and HGW seat belts. The rest is scratch built. Hacker
  13. There is this which is meant for the hasegawa kit but still l was thinking of using this in the old revell one for weight Hacker
  14. l build them then if the boxes are good and old style( talking like Monogram blue boxes ) l keep them for decorating my next workshop when we move Hacker
  15. Did not know the kit was that bad! l have their other 1/24 kits. Though they show their age they are not as bad as that! l would like to see how the engine is and how it is assembled out of curiosity Hacker
  16. You maybe looking at a black bullet but for me........... Hacker......help me l've fallen down and can't reach my beer
  17. My wife bought me this..got it really cheap like 2/3 off regular price. l can cut masks with this but bonus l can cut plastic parts with it. The thickest l can cut is 20 thou at double pass but not too bad. If l need it thick l just double up the part as it is exact fit. Sure l have to make line drawings first for it but with my corel draw it a snap. Hacker...innovative? hardly just lucky
  18. l got two of these in 1/32 in the planning stage. One is the old Revell kit and the other is a conversion for the new Revell D into a B. So this info is good and a great help Hacker
  19. First off it is an excavator and second l operated one of those but it was a John Deere but l did get a chance to operate a Caterpillar too but funny thing is the hand controls were opposite between the two. Hacker
  20. now there is an idea! Something like this perhaps? Or perhaps this Hacker
  21. Did you know that this year is the 60th anniversary of NORAD? Neither did l until l read it yesterday Love the Scorpion though l laugh when they opted for an all rocket firing interceptor. They tried shooting down a Hellcat drone once. completely missed it after firing everything. Better off having to keep the guns as well. Ah but that was back in the day Hacker
  22. I QUIT! Well not really but work like this wants you to pack it all in and all it a day....Then again l am stubborn and will carry on l like references like this! Nice job Peter Hacker
