Blackbird Avro Manchester Mk.I (Airfix Lanc conversion)
hacker replied to woody37's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
It seems in general they sat with flaps up so the interior colour is anyone's guess until someone here comes up with evidence . Having done that l have nothing against what you used, it was just more to satisfy my curiosity. Over all a job well done and l like it- 405 replies

Good fighter bomber but couldn't handle the migs. Having said that l need to check to see if it did manage to take a bit or two out of some migs.

Pecking order in 1/72 scale l would go with the new tool Airfix Lancaster followed by the new tool Revell and the Hasegawa ones last. The Hasegawa one is accurate but lacks detail while the first two are more detailed

1/32nd scale Gloster Meteor F.8
hacker replied to Rob Probert's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
T-7 eh? I know the RCAF leased two jet training purposes. They even have RCAF roundels on them. I might be interested in doing one in 1/32 scale -
I do have an article somewhere about Aussie Tigers l will have to dig up later. The thing is l love that camouflage scheme on their machines . There is two 1/48 scale kits available on is by Revell and the other l am not sure who but each is a different version and which to use has yet to be sorted out

An apache is an apache regardless what others say.it looks like an apache and will be called that by the rest of us. As for the Tiger l am interested in building one in Aussie markings but what difference are there between that and the European version?

hacker replied to Viking's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
I got a 1/72 version l had been working on but it's got no wing struts. I need to know the length to maybe finish it. I kinda have messed up inner struts as well but that's fixable- 25 replies

interesting to say the least -
l wonder if Revell will give us a decent Mk V?
-
I have the same kit in my stash and there it will sit. I got excited to get a new Mk V but got disappointed with the shape and detail issues. It does build into a nice Spitfire but for me;and l am not picky; it just doesn't look right in my mind's eye Still you are doing a terrific job on it. Keep up the good work
-
nice! now does Revell have the same kit as a repop of the Hasegawa one?
