http://www.hlj.com/product/MENDS-006/Air and it's already on back order! I checked HLJ and their prices are expensive! Also double! Which is unusual as they always in the past had good prices in the past. Might be an error but we will see -
Rescribing takes a lot of practice. You also have to flexible with what you are going to use. l have several different scribes l use depending upon the job that is required. You just need to have patience and practice. If you make a mistake just fill it in. l either use putty or even CA glue to fill them in depending.

l found a source for Gunze Mr Hobby that will ship to Canada but the thinners still a problem. So now l have to figure out what to use. As for the paint l used it in the past and loved it but suppliers stop bring it into Canada so l been without a source for a bit. l have some projects that l wish to use the paints on so l began in earnest to find a source.

Fantastic on the modern jet PE details. Something that is needed. Now here is a question. Are you going to do Japanese instrument decals? l find l may be in need of those. All the new Airfix 1/24 get PE sets as well...does that include the 109? -
I have a question here about DB 601 engine colors. I have seen in both models and pictures of the real thing at least 3 different colours. I have seen them in black, dark gray.and a medium grey. Now are these actual colors used?

Safety must be paramount when operating these fast and manoeuvrable jets. With their piston counterparts things can go south very fast when things go wrong but in jets it can be even faster. Like all things if you do not practice to maintain the aircraft at 100% safe then it shouldn't fly. As Shoreham demonstrated when things do go wrong they can in a big way and more then one life is loss. I am not abdicating that they be band because like the rest of you l want to see these things fly but with a Phantom and a lightning flying now , both very powerful machines, there should be some kind of training or refresher course for the pilots to keep them up to date and it will be also critical that the ejection seats function and that the pilot is familiarized with it with a refresher course as well. Having said that it all does boil down to money and it there is not money there is no flying. As for insurance, they always been a bunch of vultures who can at times go to far and ruin things. In the future if owner/operators cut corners ( not saying they do or don't) and it becomes a problem the governments will put their foot down and that will end jet displays. You might be able to fly one to a show but not to fly demonstrations
