Nice to see the Chinook back in the inventory. We had them before but some bright person thought we didnt need them so we sold them to the Dutch. Fast forward to Afghanistan and we see our troops being airlifted by the Dutch in........you guessed it our former Chinook helicopters. I guess some else with a bright mind either figured we did need them after all and/or it was embarrassing. Go figure

For me it's more of "Yah l am that old too" thing and like I said l want to build them too especially the B-17E just for fun just the Ebay prices for those old boxings is sometimes outrageous

Sometimes the box art for some reason puts me off too but l over come it as l know what the kit is like. These days l find l am attracted to the new Airfix boxes like a moth to a flame. Speaking of model boxes l was contemplating about decorating the workshop and was thinking using specific old models boxes. I gotten myself a Monogram Tigercat in the blue box from the early 60s and was thinking hey keep the box intact frame it somehow and use that. Might hunt up a Bearcat box plus 1/72 Revell B-71E and a B-24D boxes as well . Should look nice. I actually want the two Revell kits to build just waiting for a decent priced old ones to show up

Hoping they work on Testors paint particularly Model Master range. I do have Tamiya and Gunze acrylics but l have enamels as well

I just bought Mr Color thinner and leverer for my Mr Hobby and Tamiya paints. It states it works for both and Mr Color. My question is seeing Mr Color is a lacquer paint l been wondering how it works on enamels. Anyone?

The Italeri is an excellent kit. It gives you things the others so not like lowered flaps. Speaking of the Hobbyboss two seat it a very simplicite kit that is why l am going to chop the nose off of it and graft it onto the Italeri kit just to a better version

Been contemplating building one myself but my design, l hope, will extract from the bottom like a lot of the newer commercially available ones do. I have a perforated flooring for it already just need to gather the other materials
