Great pictures of the F-5s . I got a 1/32 scale kit l been eyeing but l need a interesting scheme for it. May use one of the ones you took but not sure yet -
Gunze and Tamiya is what l use with great success. Though Mr Paint seems to in that same category but l have yet needed to purchase. I have plans to for any Russian aircraft
-
Yes l know but l want to go the old kit route. I have a plan.......more or less
-
I found the decal sheet l need. FYI Microscale 72-23 famous fortresses. Now have to decide to get the old Revell E or back date the Hasegawa F

Other then the ones in the Revell kit does anyone do an aftermarket set? Thanks for looking

may have to get that old Airfix B2 out and beat it up. Good job so far
-
Thinking myself of getting Mr Paint. The colours seem to be a better match with Sukhoi and Mig specific camo and cockpit colours

lets face it. No matter how we wish, whine, cry or connive it ain't going to happen. Neil been out of the business for a while now and is happy what he is doing. Sure l would love some of the conversions he made ( keeping an eye out for a 1/48 bronco set myself) but sometimes you just have to either take the bull by the horns and do it yourself, wait for someone else to do it, or forget it and move on.

I noticed on Roberts Models he has a vac version. Strange though on the home page it says it's available yet on the price list it's nowhere to be seen

Cheap Airbrush issues (perfect I told you so moment)
hacker replied to Bernie Mac's topic in Airbrushes
we all have to start somewhere. My first airbrush was a cheap Badger 350 knock off back in the early 80s. worked for several years before giving up the ghost ( what do you expect for $20) Being used to the 350 style l bought an original 350 and used that until it died and was replace with ,yes you guessed it another 350. Now l also got a 150 from a chap fairly cheap but yet to use it as it is unfamiliar with it. We all have bought cheap stuff and gotten away with it in some cases while others we well...... binned them or ended up as wall decorations -

and beer is made from barley, hopps and yeast........ cheers -
Effect of scale on paint-what are people's views? Well for me it falls into the category of "Who cares and just paint the dam thing!" Some of us as modellers over think this stuff and l really never bought into it. Weathering yes, fading of fabric surfaces yes, even the occasional pre shading but scale effect nope. To me olive drab is olive drab whether from 2 inches or 2 miles it still the same colour.

just out of curiosity does this bird have that odd slant to the left in the fuselage that the Hind is suppose to have?
