15 psi is too low. Sprayed mine at the recommended 30 psi and had no problems. Clean your brush straight away as it will harden loke concrete -

Huma 1:72 Junkers Ju-287
hacker replied to Kevin Callahan's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
it was a Hentz 57 for sure, He-117 airframe, new wings, even scavenged B-24 landing gear and tires. Maybe someday if l get a Huma one cheap l might have a go at it -
If you want to be the big dog you got to have the bones to go with it. The F-16, F-18 and the Eagle are still potent aircraft but you need to keep ahead of the pack. The F-22 shows it has what it takes. l read recently an Iranian F-4 was trying to intercept a surveillance drone when a Raptor pulled up along side and neither the pilot's radar or ground based even saw the Raptor around there. For sure is scared the crap out of the Iranian Pilot! now IF things keep going the way they are with Russian and Chinese being more aggressive they will need these aircraft to counter what is being produced by these countries. l have the feeling in the next two or three years the world is going to be a dangerous place with a major war erupting. The signs are there just like in the late 30s

According to what l have read it will be based not on the JJ star Trek alternate time line but on the orginal. Suppose to be after the Undiscovered Country but before TNG. Reading between the lines l am wondering if it's going to be story lines of individual ships crews and captains. Maybe even a few Klingon adventures. I thought they would have gone with Captain Riker and the crew of the Titan in the Beta quadrant but l like this as well. Still Klingon adventures would have been interesting too

I just inventoried my Humbrol enamel and am stunned.
hacker replied to Space Ranger's topic in Paint
I am stunned at the best of times. I have the opposite problem. My stock of paints has been dwindling over a couple of years .Gunze been hard to get here in Canada since the distributor discontinued carrying it. I found a guy in Taiwan who ships for free so l been stocking up. Also without a local hobby shop l have to order my Testor,Tamiya and Humbrol via online ordering from Wheels and Wings in Toronto. I am finally get my paints back up to snuff. But l never had 333 in my life! -
Still interested in knowing what is in the Legends detail set for the 1/72 B-17F. Say PE and resin but what kind of resin parts?

Junkers Ju87B-1 Stuka Airfix 1/72 New Tool
hacker replied to CedB's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
looks like a nice little kit to build. -
Personally l know the problems with the academy kits and wouldn't build them with the exception of the early B as it is the only game in town on that. Even the old Hasegawa kit is still better then the academy kits but with the new Revell and now Airfix kits they all be left behind. Having said that with a little work and some of today's aftermarket you can still turn out a decent plane with the Hasegawa kit

While on the subject l also came across a detail set from the Korean company called Legends. Does anyone know what the contents of the box is?
-
So l am gathering parts to backdate a B-17 and the main stumbling block is the propellers. According to my research the F had wide cord propellers while the E had thin. Been looking for something suitable but unsure what aftermarket product to use
